I Need some help with the heRO download :( (edited)

Hi, everybody!


I've been trying to get heRO to work on my computer for about a week without success. I recently just downloaded these two files after having some trouble attempting to download the full sakray server.
I put them in the game's ragnarok online folder, but when I tried extracting them, it said that the files were a set of three, and also that there was some sort of "header error". This same problem came up when I tried a few of the links put up for sakray in the download forum. If there is a link where I could download this third file, or if anyone has any helpful suggestions, I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance!

I got them under the "Full heRO" heading on Pandora's File Updates post.

The first file's size is 545 MB, and the second is 696 MB. Also, I downloaded Winzip, and when I try extracting the files it says to download the files again, and that it is not a "valid archive". I will attempt to download the files again, but if there is any advice I would still be glad for it!

This is a set of 2, not 3, the links you provided are not working however, could you write the full names? Can you check the weight on those files? They should be about 700MB each.

You'll need a sofware extractor to combine them, like winzip, winrar or 7zip, then from those 2 files you should get a .exe which you will run to install the game.

You missed a _ in the name that's why.

hero_full_installer.zip
hero_full_installer.z01

Those size should be about right. Make sure both files are in the same folder when you try to extract. Perhaps it's because your computer is trying to open the file with the default windows extractor (which is not advanced enough to combine files) Right Click the file "hero_full_installer.zip" and select to open it with winzip, in winzip you should see there is an .exe in it, extract it outside then run it.

Sorry to keep bugging you...

I did what you suggested, the .exe was there and everything, but there was a problem with the location for the file's extraction. I tried extracting it in the Ragnarok Online folder, the Gavity folder, and just some random folders for good measure. No matter where I try to extract, the computer loads for a few seconds and then the same window pops up again and asks me where I want to extract the file! This is with winzip, though I have tried it with winrar as well and it doesn't work with that program either (though with winrar a window just pops up and says "you need the next volume to complete this extraction:" and then there's a little box where I type the destination, in which there are always errors that follow after I type it in).

Whew, that's a lot of run-ons!

Again, I am very, very sorry for bothering you with all these problems...

this isnt helping any but since its on my mind it might not be a bad idea to use a download manager to get those huge files so that there is less chance of corruption or splitting the files into something more manageable such as 40 meg parts.

@Simicka make sure you have enough place to extract it on your hard drive.

Can you take a screenshot showing the error?

I guess you'll have to download again, either the 2 parter once more, or the 13 parter or simply downloading rag+sak.

A download manager like Anak suggested would be good also.
