RO on Linux?

Hi there,

I consider switching OS. Windows Vista drives me nuts...
My preferred OS so far would be Linux (Ubuntu), now my question:
Is there a way to get RO to work on a Linux System?
I am going to split my HD and have Windows, too. There are so many games that need Windumb Sweat However, it would be much easier if I wasn't forced to reboot every time to play...

Thanks for your Help in advance Kissy

RE: RO on Linux?

To be honest I really wouldnt know. Did you check the official RO site and see what the game requirements are? It should mention what kinda system it might need. Sorry for not being more helpful :/

RE: RO on Linux?

Some people have managed to play RO under linux, mostly using wine. It's not an easy task to get it running.

RE: RO on Linux?

The thing you want to check out is WINE. WineHQ

Here is the page for RO private servers on WINE running on Linux. It's come a long way and from what I read on that page, it just might work.

Good luck migrating to Linux! Do post whatever results you have, I'm planning on doing the same in very near future.
