Error?

I haven't played RO in at least six months or so. It worked then but tonight I decided to go on and play a bit and it wouldn't work. It patched and all and then when I pressed start I got this error.

After clicking okay to that I saw that the game had opened up anyway, so I logged in and chose my character and then it went to a loading screen which loaded 100% and then froze. I can't get past the loading screen now, it freezes every time, and I don't know what that error is supposed to mean.

RE: Error?

Make sure you have sakray up to date and that the hero Patcher is the last version which you can get here.

RE: Error?

that same error happens when I close the patcher before it stops, and when I'm starting the game off of the patcher, but it never freezes up the game like that....

Okay, I tried to update Sakray, and it gave me an error and stopped patching. I tried opening it again and it patches for a while, then gives me that error every time. Also, whenever it has the error and closes, and I open it again, it seems to start over with the updates instead of starting where it left off. So it's always just updating the same things over and over before getting an error. The same thing happens when I try to update Raganarok. After trying to update both of these, I tried running the game again and it still has the same problem where it freezes.

RE: Error?

If you are using the offical Sakray/kRO patcers, they tend to error often unless you monitor it while it patches, otherwise, you can always manually download the updates. There are sources all over the place including RMS

GT-BlackHiro, GT-WhiteHiro, GT-ShadowHiro, GT-Destiny

RE: Error?

Make sure to run the heRO patcher too, the client stopping after the loading is a symptom of the old client. So make sure to patch heRO so you have the latest hero.exe you can also download the june installer in the download section, it will save you from a lengthy patching.

I am not sure what you mean by monitor it while it patches. Just watching it? Because I wouldn't know how to keep it from having an error or even when it would be about to have an error...

RE: Error?

I think he means just checking and if it errors restart it.

Anyhow, did you patch heRO?

RE: Error?

It looks like a Windows error more than an RO/heRO error.

It might be trying to read from a bad sector.

That is what I mean in addition to making sure your computer doesn't go into stand-by mode or hibernation mode or you lose your internet connection or something along those lines.
