Well it's a simulation game, made by Maxis (now owned by EA), maker of simcity, the sims and such.

You start with a little organism in the water and you have to eat stuff floating to earn DNA point then you can modify your critter, adding attack and defense mechanism, parts to swim faster etc.

You then move to the creature stage, which is basically you grow legs and emerge on dry land, you also gotta find dna points, by either attacking or making friends with other types of creatures, you can customize your creature further adding various parts.

Then there's the tribal stage, civilization stage and galactic where you blow up planets or make galactic treaties and such, can't comment too much on those since I haven't played them.

maxis has always made great simulation games and EA games usually have great graphics....

Nah, it's fine. I haven't run into any genital-like creatures thus far and I got the random creation from any user enabled.

There's a setting you can set to only have creatures from Maxis + your allowed friend list if you're scared of those anyway.

I completed the tribal stage last night, I hate how my creature has to wear gears that make it look retarded to get the bonus it needs, ended up putting 3 hats on its back and a mask just so it would have max gathering, social and health stuff xD

I moved on to the civilization phase, I love the monument creating tools, but not a big fan of the vehicle one, also when you assign a place to your vehicle it talks in a robotic walkie-talkie kinda voice which make me miss the cell stage with the voiceless little critters swimming around.

Awesome game. I got it right at midnight the day it came out (and it took me 8 hours to pull myself away the first time ^.^; )

The first four stages are fun, but a little short if you ask me. You can breeze through them very quickly if you know what you're doing. Of course, you could always take your time and explore in those stages. I just felt like they weren't as massive as they could have been.


...this viewpoint of mine was quickly shattered when I reached the "Space" stage.

Space is big. Really Big. Really really REALLY Big! You just wouldn't believe how mind-boggling big it is!!!!

But all in all, I seriously suggest this game to people. Just hope it doesn't make you quit heRO!
