Help!!

Hi,

I am doing the Sign Quest, and I'm at the "Klaatu, Verrata, Nictu" part.
I made this sequence many times (an approximate number would be over 50) and still the NPC wouldn't give me the witch book.

I followed the guide of iro wiki, and quite frankly, I don't know what to do anymore.

To make matters worse, the spirit told me some times that I did broke the curse , that he couldn't die, and still denied me the book.

I need insight, for I shall be denied no longer.

Isnt that the part where there's an option that is hidden in the menu? Scroll down to make sure you see it its in white text over white background. Memory a bit fuzzy it's been a while since I did the Sign quest.
