Slumdog Millionaire

GO WATCH THIS MOVIE...NOW!

Icon_wink

Seriously though, this movie was easily my favorite movie of 2008. It is one of those Indo-British movies (a British movie set in India), so don't worry, it is in englishIcon_biggrin

Here is a little more info (wikipedia ftw):
Quote:Jamal Malik (Dev Patel), a former street child from Mumbai, is being interrogated by the police. He is a contestant on Kaun Banega Crorepati, the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, and has made it to the final question, but has been accused of cheating.

And here is a link to the trailer for Slumdog Millionaire

Maybe I am giving it too much praise, but then again, it just won 4 Golden Globe AwardsNo1

RE: Slumdog Millionaire

Totally agree with you te0x, but in today's economy, people have become a little more careful when they spend their money. I personally went out to see it, and recommend that other people do to. But if because of financial problems you skip out on it, then you are really missing out on a great movie, I'd rather have people watch it by whatever means possible then not watch it at all.Icon_biggrin

RE: Slumdog Millionaire

I'd go to the theatre to watch it if they played it here, but yeah ><
I kinda agree, I mean, when you watch a movie in the theatre there's a whole different feeling to it, so it is worth it ;F

RE: Slumdog Millionaire

Its very good movie, I enjoyed it lot. The movie, ?Slum Dog Millionaire', which recently won 4 awards at The Golden Globe is based on a true story. Another issue here is that perhaps from this movie alone - there is more awareness of what occurs in countries - relating to children, relating to human rights. I appreciate Danny Boyle and Rahman and the Indian Actors for showing the actual truth of what happens in poverty and how adults exploit children. What you guys thinking?
