Drill Katar Bug?

Drill katar description according to rms:

Katar with a rotating drill instead of blade. It seems as it would break any armor in its way.
Small chance to force de-equip everything the target has.
HIT + 30

So from my understanding, this is similar to using full strip lv1.

The bug comes from testing on my guild mate. When I successfully full stripped, there should have been a duration in which they could not re-equip.
But no such durations occurred, and she was able to put her equips back on asap.

Can someone else confirm if this is really a bug... or perhaps a misunderstanding i've made somewhere....

(tested using @duel, then tested in pvp room)

RE: Drill Katar Bug?

well reading the RMS itemscript, the katar has a 15% chance of casting Full strip Lvl 1 (which itself has a 7% chance of working)

sooo... If all else fails, and there is a duration with the Full Strip skill lvl 1 that is not evident with the autocast, then you've got a problem 8/

Yeah tested with another guild mate. Stripped, but stuff could be immediately re-equipped <_<

believe it or not, it doesnt do the skill full strip or any equvalent of it. The katar's coding is so it strips them of their gear, but it does not keep it off. Although the coding from RMS is alittle akwards now which could be read wrong, it is not a stalkers full strip. Think about it as lvl 1/2 full strip XD

Well actually...

It casts Full Strip level 1, same as the stalker version (ST_FULLSTRIP), you can check that on the item script at RMS

HOWEVER

Full Strip is specifically coded such that if the player does not know any level of the skill (the only way possible to use it then, is through Drill Katar autocast), then there is no duration, so the items can be re-equipped immediately.

(skill source code, ctrl+f down to "ST_FULLSTRIP")

It's still a pain to put on the gear again, once noticing it's gone, and still takes a second or two even if you've got it all hotkeyed already... but it's obviously not as good as a "real" full strip

Not like everything on RMS is duplicated into heRo, anyway.
*awaits the next SVN so that dancers/bards can use the elemental bows, like RMS proclaims.*

I'm glad it's got no duration. Gravity has dry-humped Assassins' legs for long enough, let's not give them a decent version of their transcendent counterpart as well, please.

RE: Drill Katar Bug?

Or remember this: we are one SvN *behind* RMS.

It's all possible (but unconfirmed) that in this svn it's a "remove all" but next svn it becomes full strip.
