Why some suggestions cannot be added

We try to do our best with the server and all your ideas are most welcome! However, please understand that we don't always implement them. Reasons that prevent us from adding an idea includes:
  • Being too hard/long/impossible to make. Sure, it could be super cool to add new classes or to change the game all around, but hey, let's be realistic here!

  • Requiring a recompile. HeRO runs on Hercules, and we update from time to time. However, some changes require modifying some server files or the source code itself, and thus we would need to recompile for it, which can be quite troublesome, thus we avoid having to recompile.

  • We don't like the idea (or many players don't like it). It happens, it has nothing to do against you, but we may not think your idea fits with the direction we are heading with the server (Example: Changing the server to a high rate is a big nope for us).

  • There may be other reasons such as being unbalanced, or easily abusable, but almost everything will fall under one of the above reasons.

RE: Why some suggestions cannot be added

Bumping this thread because it still holds true, even 2 years later. ^_^

Just to note, if you are going to get mad if your suggestion is not added, then don't suggest it at all. Go read the definition of the word "suggestion". Icon_wink
