RE: RO won't Open...

Have you tried fiddling with the settings in setup.exe?
Although your drivers are up to date, they may not be the correct ones to support the settings you have.

RE: RO won't Open...

Can you take a screenshot of your RO folder, host it and give us the link?

Also, can you take one of your Setup.exe as well?

This might help us find out the problem.

What is the size of your sdata.grf? And what OS are you using?

Also check how much free space you have on your computer, and if you don't reboot often, try doing one to refresh the memory a bit, sometimes it helps.

RE: RO won't Open...

*sigh* srry it took so long to respond
a friend came over (he also plays RO)
he said every thing looks like it would work.
we ended up copying all the files to a usb put them on this pc and it started running.
sooo... i came to the conclusion that my laptop is a piece of garbage
is this the case?

im running windows XP, sdata.grf is 1.07 GB (1,159,470,495 bytes) and the setup has the first two options blank.

RE: RO won't Open...

The first two options in your setup... are the graphics settings...

If they are blank, you're basically not telling it to display. So it's not.

RE: RO won't Open...

Checked that your drivers are all proper? Not just up to date, but working?

Because, hell, this laptop has an 8mb chip in it, and it handles RO, which a bit of RAM sharing.

RE: RO won't Open...

Its likely that your current video drivers aren't compatible with RO or that the video chip/card in your laptop is... well, garbage.
