Problem, pls Help

I have recently got a virus and had to reinstall a different operating system (windows 2000). When I run the patcher and hit start, or even use the exe. the screen blinks on for a very very brief period of time and disappears. I put my entire ro folder into a usb mem card and copied it back onto my computer after the change. Would reinstalling help me, or is it a problem with 2000 itself. If anyone has any advice they could give me I would greatly appreciate it.

How exactly did you install it? Did you use the full installer, or did you just port the old files over on an external drive?

Ported them over from an external drive, it should be noted that i have taken the external drive to other comps and played directly from it. so im confused on whats going on

Try updating Sakray? I've never heard of this problem before, so I don't really know any solutions for it.

I think it might have something to do with Windows 2000.

Wow wtf I have played hero on a W2K os since years and just switched to vista when I got my laptop. I got more problems on vista than on w2k

You have the SP4? Try to update your w2k.

I had more problems with MSN than I did with heRO using a Windows Vista 64 bit.

Eh, everyone's Vista works a bit differently.

Take a screenshot of your setup.exe, and of your main RO folder; we might be able to find something wrong with it. Also be sure to check your drivers are up to date.

which service pack are you using? Are the drivers up to date?

I play on vista 32bit from the desktop which solves pretty much all problems of playing on vista

thank you all, the problem is being fixed, it was both a driver problem with the files inside the ro folder. Thank you all for your support
