Joining an Allegiance is simple, but once the choice to join the Light or Dark Allegiance is made, it will affect your whole account! With that, this quest can only be done once per account as well.
The choice is yours, let it be a wise one.
Quest
1. Speak with the Allegiance NPC in Prontera near the entrance to the Tool Dealer shop at the center of Prontera (129,214). You then may choose to join the Light or Dark Side.
2. You'll be teleported to the corresponding leader of Allegiance, which are Lady Thea for Light and Sir Melot for Dark. They will test you and decide if you're worthy to join their side!
3. Your first test consists of gathering Valor Badge x5. After receiving this mission talk to Lady Thea or Sir Melot to be warped to a special room with monsters that will drop the badges you need to collect. You may leave at any time, by speaking to the guard in the room. However, you cannot move onto the next step unless you collect the Valor Badges first.
For Light allegiance monsters are:
- Esquire of Melot: 20 HP, 15% chance to obtain badge
- Erebos' Servant, 5000HP, 45% chance to obtain badge
- Dark Defender, 50000HP, 90% chance to obtain badge
For Dark allegiance monsters are:
- Esquire of Thea, 20 HP, 15% chance to obtain badge
- Hestia's Servant, 5000HP, 45% chance to obtain badge
- Light Defender, 50000HP, 90% chance to obtain badge
4. Once you've obtained Valor Badge x5, return to Lady Thea or Sir Melot. You will be deemed worthy of joining an allegiance and asked to provide an oath of loyalty.
Here's the full text for the Light Allegiance:
I hereby pledge my loyalty to the Light Allegiance,
to its leader Lady Thea and my goddess Hestia
I solemnly vow to fight the darkness,
to fill the world with light,
and to protect my fellow Light Allegiance comrades.
And the text for the Dark Allegiance:
I hereby pledge my loyalty to the Dark Allegiance,
to its leader Sir Melot and my god Erebos.
I solemnly vow to fight the light,
to fill the world with darkness,
and to protect my fellow Dark Allegiance comrades.
5. After that you receive your first 5 points towards your newfound allegiance. Congratulations, quest is finished! If you wish to earn more Light or Dark Allegiance points, speak with Lady Thea or Sir Melot and they will provide a list of various objectives you can attempt. Once you finish any missions, it will be marked in Green for your whole account.
