Wings acquired from the NPC Novice Emmy! These wings are Novice class only, and may only be equipped if you are part of the Light Allegiance or the Dark Allegiance.

They have +10 Magic Defence, 10 Defence, Cannot be traded or sold or refined, and like every Wing-class armor, are equipped in your Lower Headgear and Armor slots. They require a minimum base level of 30 to be equipped, have a weight of 100, and will also reduce damage by 20% from targets of the opposing allegiance (Player Characters are not included).

If the user is of the Novice Class, they get an additional +10 to all stats.

If the user is of the Super Novice Class, they get an additional +2 to all stats. (This is not cumulative with the Novice bonus of +10 to all stats)

They are also able to complete the equipment combo with the Angelic set gears for novices (Angel's Reincarnation, Angelic Guard, Angelic Cardigan, & Angel's Kiss) -- this combo gives the Novice/Super Novice +900 Maximum HP, +100 Maximum SP, and it adds a 3% chance of casting Level 3 Assumptio when the user takes Physical Damage.

They also have an equipment combo with the Angel Wing Ears / Devil Wing Ears (Based on allegiance) -- This combo gives the wearer +300 Maximum HP and +80 Maximum SP.

How to get your Novice Wings

1. Obtain Base Level 10, and find Emmy in the Novice Training Grounds. She's found at (81, 83) on all of the different monster maps. Ask about what a Super Novice is.

2. She will ask you to hand over 200 Novice Potions to continue her training. Give them to her.

3. She then asks you for two lists of items. We will tackle one list at a time, since you cannot give items for the second list until you are done the first. She will also take items as you collect them (meaning, you don't need to give the full amount of items right away) to help you out. Keep in mind that she can also take more than the required amount of items from you. The first list of items are as follows:

• 40 Feather of Birds (dropped by Picky at 100% and Condor at 60%)
• 100 Clover (dropped by Lunatic at 100% and Fabre at 15%)
• 10 Grasshopper Leg (dropped by Rocker at 100%)
• 75 Feather (dropped by Lunatic at 30%, Picky at 21% and Fabre at 7.5%)
• 50 Fluff (dropped by Fabre at 60%)
• 20 Talon (dropped by Condor at 100%)

4. Once you have brought the first set of items to Emmy, it's time to get started on the second set of items. The items she asks for are:

• 100 Stone
• 15 Apple Juice
• 1 Rainbow Shell
• 4 Orange Gooey Mushroom
• 3 Sweet Milk
• 12 Arrow of Wind
• 10 Iron

Emmy will take the stones in parts, but the remaining items must be delivered all at once.

These items are not found normally in the Training Grounds with the exception of Iron. Instead, you need to find something called the Magic Hole. The magic hole is an invisible NPC that will move at intervals, meaning it is never in the same spot for too long. However, it announces when it's going to move. If you keep your cursor over it and watch carefully after this announcement, you will be able to follow where it's moving to. Don't worry, it won't go far. The magic hole, like Novice Emmy and the Trunk Lady, can be found on any of the novice maps (but since it moves, it will be on at a different location on each map).

Note - You will need to relog if the Magic Hole moves outside your screen while you are interacting with it.

5. A dialogue box with the Novice Hole will prompt you to throw items into it. On the first menu, you can choose to throw in 1, 2, 4, 5, 17, or 66 of one of these items:

• Mushroom Spore
• Milk
• Shell
• Iron Ore
• Arrow
• Apple

On the second menu, you can choose to throw in 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 of one of these items:

• Empty Bottle
• Rainbow Carrot
• Resin
• Strawberry
• Green Herb
• Nothing

If you choose a valid recipe, you will be rewarded with the resulting items. Any other recipes will give you 1 stone. Depending on the item crafted, you may take some damage (this cannot kill you). Possible recipes are:

• 17 Apple + 3 Empty Bottles = 1 Apple Juice
• 66 Shells + 1 Rainbow carrot = 1 Rainbow Shell
• 5 Mushroom Spore + 5 Resin = 1 Orange Gooey Mushroom
• 1 Milk + 2 Strawberry = 1 Sweet Milk
• 4 Arrow + 4 Green Herb = 4 Wind Arrows
• 2 Iron ore + Nothing = 1 Iron

Therefore, in total you would require a list of at least:

• 255 Apple (dropped by Lunatic at 60%, Drops at 33%+24% and Poring at 30%+4.5%)
• 45 Empty Bottle (dropped by Roda Frog at 60%, Drops at 51% and Poring at 45%)
• 66 Shell (dropped by Chonchon at 100%)
• 1 Rainbow Carrot (dropped by Lunatic at 0.6%)
• 20 Mushroom Spore (dropped by Spore at 100%)
• 20 Resin (dropped by Willow at 45%)
• 3 Milk (dropped by Picky at 9%)
• 6 Strawberry (dropped by Spore at 18%)
• 12 Arrow (dropped by Condor at 100%)
• 12 Green Herb (dropped by Fabre at 10.5% and Roda Frog at 9%)
• 20 Iron Ore (dropped by Thief Bug at 7.5%, Thief Bug Female at 9% and Chonchon at 4.5%) or 10 Iron (dropped by Chonchon at 1.5%) or a combination of those that totals up to 10 Iron.
• 100 items from the first menu of Magic Hole or a combination of those to make 100 Stone (1 Mushroom Spore/Milk/Shell/Iron Ore/Arrow/Apple + Nothing).

In case you're having trouble finding spores, it's worth noting that there are actually 5 novice maps, not 3. If you type /where, you can find out which map you're on. For the harder maps, which of the two you land on is random. So, keep asking for the hard map until you find one with 10 spores. The maps, along with their spawns and Monster ID's, are:

6. Bring all these items to Novice Emmy. She says you're not done, and you need Accreditation from the Trunk Lady. She can be found South West of Emmy, hiding in the bushes at (65, 45)

7. The Trunk Lady will give you accreditation if you give her various trunks (Obtained from Willow Monsters on the second Novice Training Grounds map). Each trunk is worth different amounts of points, and you need 100 total. The point breakdown is as follows:

• Solid Trunk = 1 point
• Barren Trunk = 1 point
• Fine-grained Trunk = 2 points
• Trunk = 5 points

8. Once you give the Trunk Lady 100 points worth of trunks, she then asks you for 30,000z. To sell things, speak to the guard at the north end of the map. Ask to sell stuff, and he will return you to inside the building. Alternatively, you can also suicide to reenter the building. There, you can speak to the potato merchant to sell your items.

One of the fastest ways to farm 30,000z is to make more Sweet Milks at the Magic Hole and then sell them to the Potato Merchant for 3,500z each. Here's a list of where you can look or what you can kill to obtain decent to high value items:

9. Once you have paid the Trunk Lady, return to Novice Emmy. She rewards you with your wings! (Only if you are at least level 30, otherwise she will tell you to train more!)
