Heroic Battlegrounds is a custom way to access the Battlegrounds feature of the official servers. It is located in northern Izlude. You can also warp there via a warper NPC by selecting Special, and from there selecting the free warp to Battlegrounds.
Requirements
You must be over level 89 to participate.
The cost for the first 100 battles on each character is 3,000 zeny.
After that, the cost increases to 15,000 zeny per match.
NPC's
This section is a quick overview of the NPC's related to Battlegrounds in northern Izlude.
- Speak with the Heroic BG Signup NPC to sign up for Battlegrounds at the scheduled time or with a Battleground Key.
- The Heroic BG Info NPC (izlude 130, 224) will tell you general information about Battlegrounds. Asking him about BG will prompt him to telling the hero about the most basic mode, KvM. You can also ask him about the hourly Battlegrounds schedule, how many points the current character has, and which characters are on the server's 'BG Top 10'. The BG Top 10 lists the characters on the server with the most points. You get nothing for being on this list, and it is simply for show.
- The Heroic BG Prizes NPC will inform you of your current point amount on a character and allow you to trade your BG points for prizes.
- The BG Kafra is a Kafra agent that offers the use of Storage services for an additional 10 zeny fee (for a total of 50 zeny) and the option to save at the Battlegrounds area in Izlude.
Signing up and Starting
The Heroic Battlegrounds Sign-Up NPC will allow you to start or join the Heroic Battlegrounds. If you go to one of the scheduled events, you simply need to sign up with the Heroic BG Signup NPC.
If you wish to start your own Heroic Battleground match, talk to the same NPC (izlude 125, 224) with a Battlegrounds Key (ID 10183) in your inventory to start KvM, Tierra, Mini FE-WoE or Flavius. Tierra, Mini FE-WoE and Flavius cannot be started when there are less than 20 minutes until the next hour, and a new KvM cannot be started when there is less than 13 minutes before the next hour (x:47:30).
Once a match has been scheduled to start, you have 4 minutes from the time the announcement was sent to speak to the Heroic BG Signup NPC (izlude 125, 224). He will tell you how much zeny you need to have on your person. During the four minutes, you can do whatever you would like. The only requirements are that you have enough zeny to enter, are online and that you are alive. If you are dead for any reason when the join timer hits zero, you will not be warped.
If there are less than 4 people registered for Battlegrounds, no one will be warped. If it was started by a player, the person who started a match will be awarded one BG point to compensate for the lost key.
After being warped, you are sent to a map with a npc that has a chatroom (As pictured above). You must enter this chatroom to be warped to the map you'll compete on! Once either all the players on the map join the chatroom, or 30 seconds pass, players will then be warped to the map belonging to the mode that was selected.

Rewards
- View all rewards: Battlegrounds Rewards
To get rewards from the Battlegrounds, you must talk to the Heroic BG Prizes NPC (izlude 132,222). When you speak with him, he will tell you how many points you have on that character. He will also give you the option to talk to him about rewards, in the form of weapons and armor.
Rewards depend on the character you talk to him on. You can only get the rewards that your character at the time can equip. For example, you cannot talk to him on a priest and expect to get a katar. Priests cannot equip katars, but can instead equip rods, books and maces.
Note: All classes may purchase the Black Belt, Decorative Kunai, and Silencer custom accessories, but the effects only apply to the classes they are intended for.
