− | A battered, torn journal entry lies on the ground
| |
− |
| |
− | A look on my life
| |
− | "I came from Morroc originally, my father was a rich spice trader dealing in just a bit more than spices. My mother I have little recollection about, she wasn't around much either, getting drunk at all the local inns...I never knew what he saw in her, or what I saw in both of them. I learned the streets at a young age, playing silly games like Rock Tag with other local kids. I had a place to go to, though I might as well have been in a prison, it sure as hell felt as cold as one."
| |
− |
| |
− | "My teenage years were alot different, I trained myself in the art of fighting, pissing off Pickys and drops with my rock throwing and dagger-swinging. I knew a good supply of vendors in Morroc, so I was able to borrow food from them with relatively no trouble, and finally escape from my hell hole."
| |
− |
| |
− | "I then saw what would be the deciding factor in my life. That night, I glanced upon a Thief wandering about the city, looking for his next score. The look of sheer intent, his posture, his intense want- all of it behind a cocky smirk. As he approached the mark, I realized it was my drunken mother. He walked up and bumped into her casually, almost knocking the flimsy woman down. My eyes followed his hands, noticing exactly how he pulled the leather-bound book off of her. As she opened her mouth to screech in a strange tongue, I realized I didn't need them, and that they didn't need their money."
| |
− |
| |
− | "I did what I finally had to do, and abandoned my biological mother and father. I decided to travel about to get stronger, see the world, meet different people, steal from said people."
| |
− |
| |
− | "I went back to Morroc to satisfy my curiosity, and I saw what was left of my father's large home, nothing but a pile of rubble. I asked around with my old contacts, and it turns out the book the thief stole was my family's financial information. Once that was taken, my father went bankrupt, and his special clients weren't too happy with him losing their contact information- they had the house stormed and destroyed, luckily he moved somewhere else. Luckily, I got the information from the vendor, and decided to drop by. I saw my mother writing up papers for the different alchemical mixes for potions, and I saw my father being just that. a father to what looks to be my sister."
| |
− |
| |
− | "It turns out they thought I was lost in the raid, that they may have killed me since I was known to play around outside. They made a gravestone for me, but I decided not to look, that would be way too creepy."
| |
− |
| |
− | "I was glad knowing that they finally wriggled loose of the grip that excessive amounts of money had over them. But since I was "dead", I could never use my name again, so I adopted the nickname Plague."
| |
− |
| |
− | "I've decided to join the Rogue's Guild to expand my horizons. Life has been really good since then, a few marks here and there, some equipment from poor people who dare challenge me in brawls, and a group of people that I can trust with my life, Angel Empire- my family."
| |
− |
| |
− | "I've been traveling ever since with my family. I've done my best to not be as bad as I used to, but I can never make guarantees."
