Many monsters are modified in heRO to be different than what one will expect from the original game and its different variations. Some are rebalanced to fit with heRO's pre-renewal mechanics, and others, especially MVPs, have their loot tables adjusted to fit with the current power level in gears. Many original monsters are also added to heRO as well for an unique and challenging PvM experience for all players.

Kingdom of Rune-Midgart
The Kingdom of Rune-Midgart contains the largest region in the world. The four main cities of Prontera, Payon, Geffen and Morroc make up most of the fields, with the outer cities of Comodo and Umbala to round out the rest of the Kingdom's land masses. Due to the size, monster changes are broken down into the following subcategories.
Prontera Region
The Prontera region consists of all Prontera fields and Mt. Mjolnir, along with Prontera Culvert, the Coal Mines (Dead Man's Pit), the Hidden Dungeon (Forest Maze), the Clock Tower of Aldebaran and the Sealed Shrine instance.
Byalan Dungeon near Izlude has its 5th floor to be partially customized with the possible summoning of the MvP, Levia Lusca. Monsters in the expanded 6th floor of Byalan Dungeon are heavily customized in stats, loot table and skills similar to New World monsters. A dedicated page has been made for all changes related to Byalan Dungeon.
Payon Region
The Payon region consists of all Payon fields, along with Payon Dungeon, Turtle Dungeon and the Sunken Ship.
Payon Field 4, also known as Poring Island, is home to Poring type monsters. It is heavily customized with new Poring type monsters unique to heRO along with being the starting point for the Poring City access. Due to the number of changes, this single field map has its own page to depict all of the related changes.
Geffen Region
The Geffen Region consists of Geffen fields, the Orc Dungeon, and the castle of Glast Heim.
In 2017, The Chronicle of Heroes event Veil of Darkness has heavily modified the monsters in Glast Heim castle. Please refer to the specified page regarding the monster changes during the event.
Morroc Region
The Morroc Region consists of Morroc fields, along with Ant Hell, Sphinx Dungeon, Pyramid Dungeon (and its Nightmare version), and the Dimensional Gorge.
Accessible within the basement of the Pyramids, the Nightmare Pyramid version of the Pyramids are customized to be a mid-tier dungeon. Please refer to its specified page for access and monster details.
Comodo and Umbala
The remaining areas of Midgart include the Comodo fields, Umbala fields, the Beach Dungeons and Umbala Dungeon.
Republic of Schwartzvald
The Republic of Schwartzvald include the fields around Yuno, Hugel, Einbroch and Lighthalzen. The dungeons of Juperos, Magma Dungeon, Einbech Dungeon, Odin Temple and Bio Laboratory are also included in this region.
Yuno Region
The Yuno region consists of all Yuno fields, along with Juperos and Kiel's Robot Factory.
Magma Dungeon has the customized MvP Skoll and its Skoll Pup. The spawn tables are also changed accordingly. Please refer to its own page for details.
Einbroch Region
The Einbroch region consists of all Einbroch fields, along with Einbech (Einbroch Dungeon).
Hugel Region
The Hugel region consists of all Hugel fields, along with Odin's Temple, Abyss Lake and Thanatos Tower.
Thanatos Tower has a basement floor customized to heRO, with some of the toughest monsters and MvPs available on the server. A dedicated page has been made for all changes related to the Thanatos Basement.
Lighthalzen Region
The Lighthalzen Region consists of all Lighthalzen fields, along with the feared Bio Laboratory. On top of heRO's standard MvP loot table improvements, the 3rd floor of the Bio Somatology Lab also have their loot table improved to reward players in challenging the most difficult dungeon in the game.
Arunafeltz States
The Arunafeltz States consist of Rachel and Veins as its two towns. The dungeons in this region include Ice Dungeon, Rachel Sanctuary, Thor Volcano and Nameless Island.
Rachel Region
The Rachel region consists of all Rachel fields, along with the Rachel Sanctuary and the Ice Cave dungeon.
Veins Region
The Veins region consists of all Veins fields, along with Thor's Volcano and Nameless Island.
The New World
The New World is the beginning of major heRO customizations to overhaul maps from the original game that are either on the edge of Renewal, or are part of Renewal. Splendide Region
Splendide has divided into the Splendide Field where Tendrilrion is elevated to MvP status in heRO, and the Root of Yggdrasil, one of the ultimate end game dungeons in heRO.
Manuk Region
Manuk is consists of Manuk Field where Hardrock Mammoth is elevated to MvP status in heRO.
El Dicastes Region
Though the town is unreleased, Scaraba Hole and Dicastes Field are available in heRO while sharing some monsters from Manuk region.
Bifrost / Mora
Similar to the Nidhoggur's Nest dungeon, Bifrost and the Misty Forest are released as regular maps instead of an instance in heRO. The town of Mora can be reached by walking through the Misty Forest or using the Cat's Hand without any quest requirement at the moment.
Global Project Cities
This contains the city of Amatsu, Gonryun (Kunlun), Louyang, Ayothaya, Moscovia, Brasilis, and Dewata which are based on different countries around the world. Brasilis and Dewata are heavily customized for monsters, while the other locations mainly have loot changes only.

Lutia is the original winter region for heRO, containing the town of Lutie and Toy Factory along with many custom locations.
Faeheim Archipelago

Faeheim is the upcoming new original region for heRO. Info will be added once the region is released.

This section contains all other locations that do not belong in any of the categories above.
Nifheim
Few monsters in Nifheim region are modified, along with the MvP Lord of Death.
Malangdo
Malangdo dungeon is customized to suit low level players new to the server in the 30-50 range. The Octopus Cave requires 2 people to enter in order to challenge the instance. While it is possible to defeat the instance with 2 people and the suitable gears, it is advised for a small party at level 80 or higher.
Guild Dungeons
All guild dungeons are customized within heRO. While the first edition guild dungeons have modified drops for the MvPs, the other guild dungeons are completely customized.
