Below are all changes directly to the class skills. Note that heRO also has a lot of custom gears that may interact with skills in different ways, but changes here apply to all players regardless of their gear choices. | Below are all changes directly to the class skills. +
+ | There are too many custom items in heRO and we recommend that you look at our [https://hero-server-db.herokuapp.com/ heRO database] for information. However, here are some changes to pre-renewal items that are different from standard Hercules pre-renewal server.
+ | |||
+ | * In general, 2h swords and 2h axes have their base damage increased to make it more attractive to forego shields in melee monster range
+ | * Crystal Mirror sale price is lowered by 20%. All monsters that drop Crystal Mirrors, except Mavka, have their drop rate of Crystal Mirrors increased by 20%
+ | * Golden Thief Bug card does not block status effects, but blocks status effects inflicted via magical means

− | + | ==Autospells== | |
+ | |||
+ | This is not a custom change for heRO but this is a very common game mechanics question- Identical autospell of the same skill and the same level do not stack. Only the highest percent is applied. For example, 2 Injustice Card in the same weapon will do nothing. The 5% chance to autocast Sonic Blow will not add to form 10%. In fact, the 2nd card is completely wasted.

The caster is required to learn the selected spell of Autospell and the max level of the casted spell is limited to to SkillLV of Auto Spell (see below.) The spell can be cast at 2 levels lower (50% chance) and 1 level lower (35% chance) than the maximum castable level. Bolt spells in the description refer to Cold, Fire and Lightning Bolt. Latest revision as of 01:20, 21 September 2024
Below are all changes directly to the class skills. Note that heRO also has a lot of custom gears that may interact with skills in different ways, but changes here apply to all players regardless of their gear choices.
There are a lot of recent changes in Oct that's not yet documented. You can read about it here: Oct 9 2023 Changelog

General Mechanics Change
- Regeneration speed is doubled for players (so that you will regen your HP/SP faster)
- Wedding clothing does not reduce movement speed.
Movement Speed
- Movement speed is capped at the value of 50 for both players and monsters
For reference:
- Normal player moves at speed 150
- Increase Agi lowers this value by 25
- Speed Potion lowers this value by 50
- Frenzy lowers this value by 25
- Bio3/Bio4 MVP moves at speed 100 if they are not buffed
Defense Limits
- Def is capped at 95 for players
- MDef is capped at 100 for players
Racial Resistances
- The maximum resistace to race, sub-race, size, boss and/or non-boss is 85%
Damage Reflect
- Reflecting damage triggers recalculation of stats.
- Reflect damage will work on boss monsters ONLY if damage to the player (or reflected damage) doesn't kill said player (if damage is less or equal to max HP).
WOE and Battlegrounds
- Team members in BG count as party members and guild members at the same time.
- Player sizes are all medium on WoE and BG maps
- Consumables and skill catalysts are not consumed in WoE (but you still need enough items to cast the skill)
- MVP cards and Ghostring card are banned in WoE
Forged Equipment Changes
- Damage boosted from star crumbs in forged weapons increases from 5 dmg (not atk) to 30 dmg
- 3 star crumbs boosted from 40 flat damage (25 higher than normal 3 star crumbs) to 200 dmg, which is 140 higher than 3 star crumbs under the new change
- Weapons from a ranked forger has 100 bonus damage instead of 10 bonus damage
Item Changes
There are too many custom items in heRO and we recommend that you look at our heRO database for information. However, here are some changes to pre-renewal items that are different from standard Hercules pre-renewal server.
- In general, 2h swords and 2h axes have their base damage increased to make it more attractive to forego shields in melee monster range
- Crystal Mirror sale price is lowered by 20%. All monsters that drop Crystal Mirrors, except Mavka, have their drop rate of Crystal Mirrors increased by 20%
- Golden Thief Bug card does not block status effects, but blocks status effects inflicted via magical means
Status Changes
These are 3rd class status effects which Pre-renewal players may not be familiar with.

Autospells
This is not a custom change for heRO but this is a very common game mechanics question- Identical autospell of the same skill and the same level do not stack. Only the highest percent is applied. For example, 2 Injustice Card in the same weapon will do nothing. The 5% chance to autocast Sonic Blow will not add to form 10%. In fact, the 2nd card is completely wasted.
Item Drop from Gears
This is not a custom change for heRO but this is a very common game mechanics question- Item drop from gears do not stack. Only the highest chance applies.
Swordsman Class
In general, 2 handed swords have their base ATK increased to make it more attractive to forego shields in melee range.

General Homunculi Changes
- Homunculus can now critically hit
- Greatly reduce the RNG variation with an auto-reroll system on level up: for each stat that got no gains at all (+0), the game will automatically re-roll the odds to see if you can get a +1 to the stat. While it's possible that you still get a +0 in the end, at least you get a 2nd chance. Note that the reroll does not permit you to get a +2 or a +3 in a stat. This happens automatically whenever you level up. You will see the notification of the system kicking in within your chatbox.
- All Homunculus have their level up stat adjusted. In general, all homunculi is getting a stat buff in EVERY category. You will see the standard deviation to have greatly narrowed (aka: less likely to be screwed by RNG), while retaining the potential high ceiling in almost all cases.
- Homunculus has a hard cap of 95 hard def and 95 hard mdef
Lif Homunculus
- is now classified as Plant race instead of Demi-Human race

3rd Class Skills |
All 3rd class skills (which are only used by monsters, and are currently not available to players, even via custom items or cards) deal 50% damage per level, with all extra variables for damage calculation removed. Exceptions to this are listed below.
|
heRO Custom Skills
Currently, most custom skills are only utilized by monsters and are unavailable to players via any way, including custom gears or cards.
