General Story Information

"Chronicle of the Heroes" is the main story line that the heRO server follows for its story related events in the server. The Chronicle's story is written by various GMs and even has some player contributions, especially the noble players. Often, GMs have a rough guideline of knowing where to start and what direction to stir the story towards in terms of results, but details are often left open as GMs improvise according to server players' reactions and decisions. Thus, "Chronicle of the Heroes" is a combined product of both GM team's planning and the players' efforts together.

Players interested in participating in the story only needs to attend these events, and automatically they are welcomed to join in the conversations, discussions or contribute to decision making. It is encouraged that players interested the in heRO story can read over some of the server's background information, along with checking the current chapter of the Chronicle often in case if they missed some important plot development.

From the story's point of view, the "Chronicle of the Heroes" is a detailed record of all events from the beginning of history, written by the historian Auron (named after the former story manager GM). The record starts from the rise of the gods and goddesses for both the Order of the Light Allegiance and Legion of the Dark Allegiance, up to the present day and all that had happened to the Heroes of the world.

Legion of the Dark Allegiance

The Legion of the Dark Allegiance follows the God Erebos, led by Sir Melot.

The Legion of the Dark Allegiance strives for breaking laws and orders, believing that strength and personal power determine the true natural order of survival of the fittest. Erebos first disobeyed the rules of Odin who led the start of civilization to human beings as he considered it an outrageous action to depart the knowledge of gods to the lesser beings of humans. Likewise the Legion of the Dark Allegiance today sought to destroy the current rules and orders to "help those in need," since the world is naturally self governed by strength instead of arbitrary laws.

Though the Legion of the Dark Allegiance is against the current system of order, they remain an organized and effective group. Internal hierarchy of leadership is determined through abilities and capabilities. In an Allegiance where power is judgment, the Legion of the Dark Allegiance will not hesitate to use any means to carry out the necessary goals, which is highly frowned upon by the Order of the Light Allegiance.

The Legion of the Dark Allegiance Allegiance sought to destroy the Order of the Light Allegiance who constantly stands in their path with beliefs in total opposition.

Order of the Light Allegiance

The Order of the Light Allegiance Allegiance follows the Goddess Hestia, led by Lady Thea.

The Order of the Light Allegiance Allegiance believes in laws and orders to create stability and equality for all human beings, allowing even the weak and the vulnerable to live on equal grounds with everyone else. Hestia was the only one among the Gods to step in against Erebos when Erebos first disobeyed the rules of Odin. To Hestia, Erebos's promotion of "anarchy" is unjust since all human beings are essentially equal, regardless of power or ability, and thus should be treated the same, given the right to live. Likewise the Order of the Light Allegiance today stand to defend rules and orders to "help those in need," since the world naturally relies on people to step up for justice to help those who are vulnerable. The Order of the Light Allegiance will only battle and fight against those who threatens the law.

As expected, the Order of the Light Allegiance heavily emphasizes the concept of order. Internal hierarchy and classes of the clergy is clear and strict, as allegiance members advance in ranks according to their experience and dedication. Although the allegiance stresses on order, the Order of the Light Allegiance will allow exceptional advances if there are great results coming from the members. The Order of the Light Allegiance will always stand true to their words, even if they are forced into compromised situations much to the dislike of the <Legion of the Dark Allegiance
