Do you think that you have the RO knowledge and RO flexibility to make do with limited and awkward resources on the spot? Then welcome to the Roguelite Arena where you are not allowed to bring in any of your own items and equipment, and you will have to find and use the items given to you. Can you and your friends assemble a well balanced team under such harsh situation? And most importantly: how lucky are you today?

Time of Event

Event Details

You may take any of your character with you, but you will be stripped of any equipment and zeny, including those inside a cart and so on. For the character that you plan to join the event with, be sure to remove all equipment and zeny from the characters. GM will not recover any items loss as a result of any attempt to bring in any items to this event. This includes any 0 weight items that are normally allowed in Transcendence. At the end of the event, all of your items from the event will be taken back as well. You bring nothing with you, and you take nothing with you as well.

You will be given a number of Event Poring Coins as you are sent to the Event Facility Room. Inside this room, you can take your Event Poring Coins, Enriched Oridecon and Enriched Elunium to exchange for different types of random box items. Box items with the highest variability will be cheapest and readily available, such as the basic Event Blue Box. You can exchange your coins for types of boxes that are more specific to try to get items that you need the most such as an Event Advanced Garment Box to get a good garment, but it'll cost you more Event Poring Coins. The random items you may obtain are curated for the event, ranging from basic gears and cards such as War Axe, Buckler, or a Pupa Card, to end game equipment such as Ice Pick[1], Diabolous Armor or Muspelite Aranea card. If you are very lucky, you may have a chance to get some MVP cards and God Items at your disposal! Balance your needs between how many coins you have, what gears and items you need, and how lucky you are feeling today!

Once you are equipped as best as you can, you will be sent to the arena to fight a wave of monster. Upon your success, you will be rewarded with more Event Poring Coins, Enriched Oridecon and Enriched Elunium to further enhance your arsenal. Rinse and repeat to defeat more and more monsters, get more Event Poring Coins to exchange for more items and resources, and try to last as long as possible against the GM's wave of onslaught.

Event Rewards

Participation reward: ToH Voucher, Old Card Album, Base EXP/JEXP

Additional ToH Vouchers and other items will be given out based on how long the event takes. No concrete items are given out based on how many waves are defeated, since there is always a certain element of "super unlucky" from the event boxes that prevent progress (although you can certainly maximize your chances to tilt the odds in your favor!) As there is an unavoidable luck element to the event, prize rewards do not depend on wave progression.

Tips and Tricks

  • As no Kafra is available and you cannot take any items with you, you should try to utilize every item you have available as soon as possible. Cards that are not slotted are not helping you in your battles, and likewise for saving Enriched Elunium/Oridecon if you are not refining it to strengthen your gears.
  • Trading with your party is important: it's very likely you may get something that someone else will need. Trade with each other to optimize everyone's equipment as much as possible.
  • As Advanced Boxes may cost a lot of your initial coins, it's advised that you should go for lower tier gear boxes first to at least fill out your equipment slots before you.
  • Classes such as High Priest, High Wizard and Professor are obviously powerful and they will be the backbone of the initial levels since they can operate effectively with minimal gears. However as a trade-off, gears naturally favor non-casters.
  • Consider having a wide variety of classes so that as a team, you are more likely to utilize different gear types from the boxes. Equipment that cannot be used by anyone are wasted resources.
  • Classes that can use a variety of weapons are more favorable than those that must use a specific weapon type- flexibility is key in the Roguelite Arena.
  • You are given reset coupons upon entry to the Roguelite Arena and you may get more from various boxes. Be flexible and reset as necessary to adapt your skill/stats to the gears available to you. This is especially true to classes that can have multiple skill builds that utilize different equipment, such as Gunslinger that uses different guns for its skills, or Stalker that can change between physical, or magic/bow build.
