General Info

Years after the destruction of the eastern Lutia Region, the Kaldheim Arena has been reopened. Fight monster simulations to earn rewards!

The entrance to the Arena building is at Kaldheim 152 83. It is just a short walk south from the Kafra area. Once you enter, head east and then north once you reach the end to reach the Arena. At the north end (lutia_in02 43 188), you'll encounter the Arena Manager.

Instance Creation

To create the instance, the party leader must select to reserve the arena. You must also be in a party of at least 2 players, and all party members must be Level 70 or higher.

Once the instance has been created, all party members can talk to the Arena Manager and choose to enter instance. Keep in mind that if you leave the instance for too long you will not be able to reenter again and will have to wait for the cooldown to expire.


Battle Arena Info

To begin the fight, the party leader must talk to the arena manager and select to start the fight. You will then be given a few seconds to prepare, and the fight will begin.

You have 20 minutes to defeat all 10 waves of mobs. When one wave is defeated, the next will automatically spawn a few seconds later. When all waves are defeated, firework effects will be shown over the arena and you will be able to exit the arena by talking to the Arena Manager.


Restrictions

  • There is a 1 hour cooldown to re-enter the instance, starting from whenever you first enter it.
  • Arena monsters do not drop any loot.
  • Arena monsters provide no experience.

Arena Waves

Each individual line represents a possible monster spawn. For example, Wave 1 means the party will face either Punk, Myst, Wootan Fighter or Lude, but not all 3. Then you will always face either Whispering, Toucan, Iron Fist or Marduk, and so on.

Rewards

Each party member will be registered for rewards depending on the waves beaten. If all waves are not cleared within 20 minutes, you will only be able to obtain the rewards for the last wave defeated.

If the party falls in battle, they can return quickly to continue. If any fighter is not inside the instance when the 20 minutes are up, they will not be able to claim rewards.

The prizes are as follows:

  • Wave 3: 1x Blue Gift Box
  • Wave 4: 1x Blue Gift Box, 1x Old Blue Box
  • Wave 5: 1x Blue Gift Box, 2x Old Blue Box
  • Wave 6: 1x Blue Gift Box, 2x Old Blue Box, 1x First Aid Kit
  • Wave 7: 2x Blue Gift Box, 3x Old Blue Box, 1x First Aid Kit
  • Wave 8: 2x Blue Gift Box, 2x First Aid Kit, 3x Prize Medals
  • Wave 9: 3x Blue Gift Box, 3x First Aid Kit, 5x Prize Medals
  • Wave 10: 3x Blue Gift Box, 3x First Aid Kit, 10x Prize Medals



All participants will also receive 5 Reputation Points per total waves cleared, starting from the second wave. This means that if you clear wave 1 you will not receive any reputation points, but if you clear wave 3 you will receive 15 reputation points.

You can collect the rewards from the Prize Giver after the arena fight ends. You cannot re-enter the arena until you collect the prizes. The Prize Giver is located near the Arena Manager, and will only appear if you have rewards to collect.

Trivia

  • The Kaldheim Arena was released on June 16th, 2020.
  • The Arena made its first appearance during the temporary Lutia release as part of the Chronicle of Heroes "Of Fiends And Shadows" storyline in 2017. It was destroyed by Dark Lord nearing the end of the story arc.
  • Ingame dialogue with NPCs both present and in the past reveal that Sir Melot, head councilman of the Dark Allegiance, was the first person ever to defeat all waves long ago when the arena first opened, and later became friends with the original owner, who left him ownership of the Kaldheim Arena upon retiring.
  • Melot could be found within the Arena while the Soul Ring, Executioner Hood and Zen Helm quest was temporarily available in 2017. Dark Allegiance Members with enough allegiance and reputation points could obtain the Executioner Hood headgear from him after receiving the approval of all other Dark Allegiance council members.
