From now on, you'll need to finish a quest if you want to join light or dark side.

At first, you should talk to Allegiance NPC, and choose to join the Light or Dark Side

You'll be teleported to corresponding leader of Allegiance, which are Lady Thea for Light and Sir Melot for Dark. They will test if you're worthy to join!

First test will be: Gathering 5 Valor Badges.

After getting mission talk to Lady Thea or Sir Melot and you will be warped you to a special room with monsters, that drop those badges.

For Light allegiance monsters are:

• Esquire of Melot, 20 HP, takes 1 damage
• Erebos' Servant, 5000HP, 45% chance to get badge
• Dark Defender, 50000HP, 90% chance to get badge

For Dark allegiance monsters are:

• Esquire of Thea, 20 HP, takes 1 damage
• Hestia's Servant, 5000HP, 45% chance to get badge
• Light Defender, 50000HP, 90% chance to get badge

Next test is giving an oath to your new brotherhood. Here's full text for Light Allegiance:

I hereby pledge my loyalty to the Light Allegiance,
to its leader Lady Thea and my goddess Hestia
I solemnly vow to fight the darkness,
to fill the world with light,
and to protect my fellow Light Allegiance comrades.

And text for Dark Allegiance:

I hereby pledge my loyalty to the Dark Allegiance,
to its leader Sir Melot and my god Erebos.
I solemnly vow to fight the light,
to fill the world with darkness,
and to protect my fellow Dark Allegiance comrades.

After that you get your first 5 points. Congratulations, quest is finished!
