Event Details

Create a brand new Novice! With it you will undergo a series of triumphs and tribulations where you will obtain fancy items that you may or may not use with your chosen class. You will need to work together with your friends to balance each other out so that you may move forward successfully throughout the event. Don't worry about hoarding or withholding your shiny items; share them if you can't use them. Don't get too attached because you won't be able to keep any of those items at the end of the event. You also will NOT be allowed to keep your newly built character.

You will be given several Event Poring Coins as you are sent to the Event Facility Room. Inside this room, you can exchange your Event Poring Coins for different types of random box items. Box items with the highest variability will be the cheapest, such as the basic Event Blue Box. You can exchange your coins for more specific boxes to try to get items you need the most, such as an Event Advanced Garment Box to get a good garment, but it'll cost you more Event Poring Coins. The random items you may obtain are curated for the event, ranging from basic gears and cards such as War Axe, Buckler, or a Pupa Card to end-game equipment such as Ice Pick[1], Diabolous Armor or Muspelite Aranea card. If you are very lucky, you may have a chance to get some MVP cards and God Items at your disposal! Balance your needs between how many coins you have, what gears and items you need, gear level requirements and how lucky you are feeling today!

New to this edition of the Roguelite Arena, you'll be given 2 class change items RANDOMLY as a novice. You will need to trade amongst other participants to assemble a functional party composition of 1-1 classes, super novices and extended classes as much as possible. At certain wave intervals, you'll be given 1 Warrior's Will or Blood Thirst at random. You can job change to 2-1 or Star Gladiator with Warrior's Will, or job change to 2-2 or Soul Linker with Blood Thirst. As these are also randomly given to every participant, you will have to trade with one another to try to job change to the class that you want. However, it's entirely possible that you have no choice but to change to the job path available to you instead of your ideal class choice.

Once you are equipped as best as possible, you will be sent to the arena to fight a wave of monsters. Upon your success, you will be rewarded with more Event Poring Coins to enhance your arsenal further. Rinse and repeat to defeat more and more monsters, get more Event Poring Coins to exchange for more items and resources, and try to last as long as possible against the GM's wave of onslaught.

Event Rewards

Participation reward: ToH Voucher, Old Card Album

Additional ToH Vouchers and other items will be given out based on the event's length. No concrete items are given out based on how many waves are defeated since there is always an element of "super unlucky" from the event boxes and job change items that prevent progress (although you can certainly maximize your chances to tilt the odds in your favour!) As luck is unavoidable in the event, prize rewards do not depend on wave progression.

Tips and Tricks

  • Class options is a new dimension to the roguelite arena. You have to consider the risks involved if you intend to be a 2-1 or 2-2 final class option, but you may end up with the other. Class options play extremely differently as well. Are you prepared to play both class options in case things don't work out?
  • Homunculus will also be levelled alongside you throughout the event and fixed loyalty gain throughout the wave progression. However, Alchemists are given a limited number of embryos so you may not always get the homunculus of your choice (just like everything else in the roguelite arena)
  • As no Kafra is available and you cannot take any items, you should try to utilize every available item as soon as possible. Cards that are not slotted are not helping you in your battles, and likewise, for saving Enriched Elunium/Oridecon if you are not refining it to strengthen your gears.
  • Trading with your party is essential: you may get something someone else will need. Trade with each other to optimize everyone's equipment as much as possible.
  • As Advanced Boxes may cost a lot of your initial coins, it's advised that you should go for lower-tier gear boxes first to at least fill out your equipment slots before you.
  • Classes such as High Priest, High Wizard and Professor are powerful and will be the backbone of the initial levels since they can operate effectively with minimal gears. However, as a trade-off, gears naturally favour non-casters.
  • Consider having a wide variety of classes so that, as a team, you are more likely to utilize different gear types from the boxes. Pieces of equipment that no one can use are wasted resources.
  • Classes that can use various weapons are more favourable than those that must use a specific weapon type- flexibility is key in the Roguelite Arena.
  • If you get a reset coupon, be flexible and reset as necessary to adapt your skill/stats to the gears available to you. This is especially true to classes that can have multiple skill builds that utilize different equipment, such as Gunslinger that uses different guns for its skills, or Stalker that can change between physical, or magic/bow build.
