In this event, you will try to guess a Mystery Word. At the start of the event, you will be transported to a map full of Book monsters, each of which is named for a letter of the alphabet. These monsters do not attack you, and they always take 1 damage per hit. When you kill a monster, there is a chance that it will drop a card with its corresponding letter. The chance is 75% for consonants and 30% for vowels.

At the beginning of each round, you will need to speak to the Bat NPC in order to participate. The Bat will then give two hints: a category, and the number of letters in the Mystery Word. You must use the Letter Cards you collect from the Books to try to guess this word. The Bat will publicly announce each letter that any of the players guesses correctly.

There will always be at least 5 rounds; sometimes there are more if the words are guessed quickly. If you disconnect, you can simply talk to the Event Rep NPC in the waiting area to return to the event map.

Each time you guess a letter, you will lose that Letter Card, and you have to wait 15 seconds before you can guess another. You can only guess a letter if you have its card. If you try to guess the word and you are incorrect, you must wait another 15 seconds to guess again. You do not need to have all of the letters in the word to be able to guess it. The letter-guessing timer and the word-guessing timer are also independent of one another, so you can guess a letter and then immediately guess a word, or vice versa.

The goal of Wordzzle is to collect as many Pages as you can. Pages are granted in the following way:

   1 Page for each round you participate in
   3 Pages for guessing a letter correctly
   10 Pages for guessing the Mystery Word correctly

Once the final round has ended, everyone will be recalled to the waiting room. Talk to the Event Rep NPC to collect your prizes, which vary based on how many pages you managed to collect. After that, everyone is warped to the Event Kafra, where you can store your prizes as well as your Novice's 500 zeny (retrievable later from the Banker NPCs in each town). If you want to squeeze every possible zeny out of the experience, don't forget to store your Knife and Cotton Shirts to NPC later!

Finally, log out to the character select screen and delete your event novice.
