Quest Start Location: Spirit at lu_library 184 228
Special Agent Adelaide has been assigned to investigate the ongoing food poisoning epidemic at Lutia, as part of the Lutia government. She requires your assistance to control the situation. In doing so, you also help bring the Restless Spirit to rest, as you unearth the incidence of Adelaide's death.
1. Visit the Kaldheim Library (East side), and go inside, towards lu_library 184, 228 (lower right corner of the first half of the building), where you find a Spirit NPC. Talk to the Restless Spirit.
2. Open the Book, next to the Restless Spirit. Read it (but all the pages will be empty), and leave it opened.
3. Head to the west side of Kaldheim (99, 127). Speak to Adelaide and offer your help. She will request that you investigate the epidemic at the hospital.
4. Visit the Lutia hospital (Lutia09 55, 88). Enter, and head east and talk to Ramiro, the Epidemiologist. He gets you to visit several patients to inquire with:
- George - Farsat
- Svana - Crystal Shore (General Store)
- Arnfried - Lonely Shore
5. At Farsat, in the closest to building to the Healer and Kafra, you will find George (Young Man). Talk to him, and inspect the place for 'samples' by clicking on the Cauldron (10 o'clock), and Jar (2 o'clock).
6. At Crystal Shore, in the building down south, you will find Svana (Merchant). Talk to her, and inspect the place for 'samples' by clicking on the Water Barrel and Fish Crate (both 9 o'clock), and the Vegetable Crate (6 o'clock).
7. At Lonely Shore (Docks to Pingvi Haven, Lutia14), in the building on the north side, you will find Arnfried. Talk to him, and inspect the place for 'samples' by clicking on the Vegetable Crate (9 o'clock), and the Fish Crate (next to the nets).
8. Return to Ramiro to report your findings. Wait 2 minutes and talk to him again.
9. Go to the greenhouse at St. Vitus Abbey (Lutia09 34, 163), and talk to Hugo, the Monk to obtain some samples to bring back to Ramiro.
10. Return to Ramiro, then back to Adelaide at Kaldheim.
11. Meet Adelaide west of Lutia Hospital/St. Vitus Abbey (Chill Winds map). Talk to her, then talk to the workers. Question each of them and they will reveal a lead to the investigation.
12. Meet Adelaide outside Crystal Shrine during night-time, on the east side of lutia13 (Snow Harpy map). Talk to her, and you will be warped inside the shrine. Proceed north, and defeat all the Hostile Suspects. Once defeated, head outside where Adelaide will interrogate them using brute force.
13. Meet Adelaide at the centre of Niflheim (with the Kafra, Banker, and Healer), then she will tell you to inspect the fields to the west.
14. Head 2 maps west of Niflheim town (nif_fild01 216, 46), at the south side, enter the house past the pumpkin patch, and proceed towards the cellar. Defeat the kidnapper, and speak to the Captive before returning to Adelaide at Niflheim centre.
15. Return to Lutia, and head to the Church (Hestia Shrine, north side of Lutia06). Talk to Reverend Alfred and insert the password, Grimtooth. Once inside, trigger the dialogues, by talking to the hunky Mayor Lorens.
16. Return to Kaldheim, and visit the Library (East side). Go to 308, 230, and read the book. Return to Adelaide at west of spawn point with what you found. She will thank you for your help as she handles the rest, and reward you with:
