Summary

Muerto the wandering spirit calls upon the aid of his assistants to find out why so many young women are dying and appearing in Nifflheim. He asks you to investigate Hans von Abendroth's mansion to figure out what's going on.

The Quest

Part I -

Muerto transports you to the dark and dreary mansion of Hans von Abendroth.

The objective of this part is to wander around the mansion talking to the correct NPCs in the correct order. NPCs also include objects on the floor or wall, such as Pages or Box. The quest is different depending on which Allegiance you are.

Dark Allegiance -

1. Find Pages on the ground.

2. Talk to Mother Cobb, who refers you to the Head Butler.

3. Clean the Goblet with the rag.

4. Talk to Mother Cobb again.

5. Find a spell scroll in the Box.

6. Break the seal on the Cupboard.

7. Insert the metal card in the Statue.

Light/Neutral Allegiance -

1. Find Pages on the ground.

2. Talk to Mother Cobb.

3. Find the Box and discover that it's locked.

4. Ask the Head Maid about the key.

5. She warps you to a room where you can find the key in a Bookshelf.

6. Unlock the Box and obtain a spell scroll.

7. Break the seal on the Cupboard.

8. Insert the metal card in the Statue.

Part II -

The objective of this part is to solve a riddle by collecting letters to answer the riddle. There are several riddles and several answers. All riddles have the exact same hint as the last, "...This sounds suspiciously like the game of Cluedo."

1. Kill Mini Boo until you get 3 Hint Scrolls. (3 Hints is all you need. The fourth hint is the same for all the riddles.)

2. Give the Hint Scrolls to the Boos and receive your riddle.

3. Hunt alphabet books until you can spell out the answer to your riddle.

4. Input your answer one letter at a time.

Riddle 1

• An ancient firing arm.
• 11 letters.
• I can shoot 6 times with this!

Riddle 2

• Large tool for tightening bolts.
• 9 letters.
• I'm it's too big for Little Boo to wield!

Riddle 3

• Long coil of hemp.
• 8 letters
• Certainly not new.

Riddle 4

• A lit wax rests in it
• It has 11 letters in it
• Used to light rooms before electricity

Riddle 5

• Used for cutting things
• 10 letters

Answer: sharpknife

Riddle 6

• It's a metal object used for plumbing
• 8 letters
• This one is made of specific metal. This metal can make you DEAD.

Answer: leadpipe

Part III -

The objective of this part is to kill the MVP Hanz von Abendroth.

1. Kill MVP. You will have free respawns in the room.

• There are portals around the room that 'absorb' energy when you go near them. If they absorb enough energy, they spawn Hodremlins and other mobs. If you stay away from them long enough, they collapse again.

Note: The MVP is on a respawn timer, so you may have to wait for it to respawn. Your character is stuck on the map until the MVP is killed. That means you might have to wait for more players to join the room and help kill it. You MUST be online on that character when the MVP is killed to be warped out. So keep asking main for help!

Part IV -

You will get warped back to Pront where you can claim your prize of a Tormenting Ghost hat. You are then told to return Elenor's diary to her in the center of Niffleheim.

After talking to Elenor you will have completed the Halloween 2010 Quest and will receive a random Halloween pet egg from this list:
