Hero needs villains! - The Legendary Joe - 08-14-2009

Considering as this is basically a light vrs dark story book setting, all great heros needs strong villains to fight! Sure there's Eudoxie (who's dead),??and??Surtur and stuff,??I feel we need more.

Also,??villains so far??have been magic users of some sort,??Why not??something really annoying like a Paladin or something?

And then when we figure out what we want, we need to do something to genuinely Piss off the entire??populace and make them hate it!(well, most of it anyway~) This'll probably require something that??makes the??older players come together and help the newer ones deal with the??"Menace".


Quite frankly, I find the DB-ing and BB-ing in places they're not supposed to far more hilariously villanous than??any of the plots used by the GM's like town invasions.

A true villain??should rope people into it wether they want to join or not.

Perfectly fine suggestion thread turned to finger pointing insult fest for absolutely no reason and there's no provocation to blame. Don't ever do this again, even though I have said it before about similar situations... let this 2 day forum ban be a severe warning to you.

As for RP, for me it's absolutely disgustingly annoying and difficult to think of things a villain can do with consequences that actually matter. Things that actually matter are either illegal, or they annoy the players too much to do (did you know that Eudoxie made 2 players quit while filing complaints to Pandora directly via support ticket as they leave? and most players would classify Eudoxie's invasions and taunts as "petty" at best.) Thus why I keep looking for a RP GM for ages, as my "temporaily RP GM" status went on for like a year now... but I have never found worthy candidate who doesn't have just ideas, but plans for execution. (almost all candidate is pure talk and nothing on how to execute their glandular schemes)

we need a villian that'll kill all the warpers/saver npcs/kafras and a huge server quest that'll allow priests to memo inside dungeons and all the maps.

saving would be done in inns


but seriously though, i can't believe there aren't any roleplayer freaks that came from the RP servers out there that don't have some good ideas. i personally GMED on like... 3? roleplaying servers. i'd apply, if i didn't work 24/7 or something

The drawback to this is that GMs on "RP Servers" are very used to the entire server changing severely, doing whatever it takes, to fit the RP. This is understandable as this is what a RP server tries to do. However, heRO isn't 'that type' of RP server. We are more like a server with a story, not so much RP server.
