Priest--->High Priest - Session - 01-27-2011

I should have a high priest soon enough, or at least be trans'd and working towards it.

I thought I'd ask the high priest mains in the community, since I've never played one, what the differences are between training it versus a normal priest.

Is there anywhere I can go decently earlier to help my leveling process?

Any gears that will particularly help me out/make me be more efficient?

Any stat allocation differences?

Skill setups?

For right now, my priest is a tanking/TU/support build, and thats what I feel most comfortable with. Ok

Thanks.

Assumptio is the primary difference. KE is still useful if you don't want to get hit.

You'll level it the same way as Priest. Stat allocation will be the same as well, just that you'll have slightly more points in earlier levels.

Skill setup is the same, though you'll want Assumptio early. Meditatio is really optional, and can be leveled slowly or even at job 60+.

's fun to cast KE lv 1 on the assumptio'd people in castle.

Says the guy who doesn't woe at all.

And despite this is a common-ish tactic, it's not that useful since usually Assu runs out anyways before reaching the important fights since nobody seriously uses speed pots.

Is the difference in the + to healing power significant enough to get before job 60?

Doesn't look like getting mana recharge will be good for my build though...since it requires mace mastery. Thinking

'Sides that, assumptios gonna be nice. Love

By the time you're (read: most people) are job 60, you'll be around level 90, which means you'll be close to finishing your stat allocation for INT. By then, it'll make a noticeable difference, but also by then you don't actually need the extra heal value.

Says the guy who doesn't woe at all... anymore...

Says the guy who was probably one of the 6 clowns.

Since obviously I'll be able to allocate more stats than before...about how should I go about spreading them out, generally?

It'll be nice to afford more strength to carry stuff. Whistle

Backpack and pet will do the job, you really don't need to spread that way.
