I had a long post written up about semantics so I could argue with Namine. Then I realized it was just that a post so that "I could argue with Namine." We haven't dated in the past, have we Namine? Because it seems I treat you like an ex-girlfriend in the way I seek out fights with you :D

Either arguing about semantics and "precise wording in questions for our exams" is part of our teacher blood, or you just made one of the candidates for worst pick up line in history.

People seem to hate whatever is termed Renewal though, so might as well avoid using that term when the object at hand isn't related to renewal at all~ Been on a pserver that's neither "normal" or "renewal" and the new client worked for them just fine.

Yes, we did.

I've bugged circe hundreds of times and i'll still bug ihe/she/it till it's implemented >:|

Pretty much, we thought about it with the new SVN, but got bogged down by other things (Like hackers and rapidly approaching server seasonal holidays)

I'm not too sure what the current position is at the moment, but I'm sure it'll come up for discussion again at one of our future meetings.

Uh, hypothetically assuming it does get implemented. Would it be the sole option or would the players have a choice to stick with the old interface, at least skill menus. Call me oldschool but I hate the renewal battlemode, it only gets me killed all the time. It's quite a difference when you can't talk because of bmode and when you can't use skills when you're out of bmode (case of renewal)
Or rather, would it even be technically possible?

To my knowledge, everyone would have to follow the same one.
It'd be part of the heRO client.

Sort of like how you can't go back to the old skill window now.
There's one like it included, but it isn't the old one.

As to technically possible? In terms of RO, I don't think so. If it were, it would not be n easy task. It's would more than likely require a recode of a large part of UI and other client aspects.

That made me laugh. Thanks. I'll have to use that someday... or I could actually try to avoid getting punched I suppose.

RE: Renewal Client? - Jens - 10-25-2010

Hmm, that would quite shift the balance in favor of not staying after I get my laptop back, I hate that new bmode with passion, but that's apparently just me.

RE: Renewal Client? - azurerogue - 10-25-2010

Why? You can customize it to be the same as the current battle mode.
