RE: YGO 2009 on DS - Aaronock - 06-14-2009 Don't really understand it myself, something called a Turbo Duel. Yugioh reached new heights of stupidity in this series and I thought you couldn't top a school teaching you how to play the darn game. RE: YGO 2009 on DS - GM-Ayu - 06-14-2009 Basically a turbo duel is exactly the same as usual YGO duel, except that you don't have any spell cards. Instead, you got "speed spell" cards. You get 1 speed counter to you every turn, a max of 12. You can only play speed spells depending on how many counters you have. No speed spell cards are restricted in quantity, and some old favorites are remade like harpie feather duster, and raigeki in speed spell form (usually using like 10 or more counters.) If you get hit for damages, you also lose speed counters. Another word, play royal decree to shut out the traps, and if you can control the opponent's speed counters, you really got the battle locked up. You have to turbo duel a few times in story mode as well, but it's pathetically easy. Essentially, it's YGO's attempt to add resource cost to the game. RE: YGO 2009 on DS - Avalon_Fates - 06-15-2009 ....Can you remove it so YuGiOh doesn't suck? Or play regular duels. I love my spell cards....the whole game isnt turbo duel right? Would you recommend the game as a buy? RE: YGO 2009 on DS - GM-Ayu - 06-15-2009 There's only 7 turbo duels and they are pushover-ly easy. You can probably get away without turbo spells and you can probably survive those duels. They come really late in game so by then, you got strong enough effect monsters to beat turbo duels without turbo spell cards. I recommend it as a buy due to the pretty adequate card pool ^_^ RE: YGO 2009 on DS - Avalon_Fates - 06-15-2009 what about character avatar's? Better then the last one? RE: YGO 2009 on DS - Cheesecake - 06-17-2009 Much better. Everything is RGB color editable you can change the outfits and you can change the hairstyles outfits and stuff on the fly whenever you want in options. You also can walk around and your clothing hairstyle etc shows on your avatar. I got the game for my bithday yesterday, been playing. Its really annoying me, this guy who keeps using level lockers and milling my deck ~_~ (sob nobody made me a bithday thread.) I dont know where I am, parsay. I'm playing Avalon code right now but I'l post here my progress every now and then. RE: YGO 2009 on DS - Avalon_Fates - 06-18-2009 you got access to WiFi Cheese? RE: YGO 2009 on DS - GM-Ayu - 06-18-2009 colourable but all the avatars still look totally ridiculous >< I was thinking of playing a male char this time, but just a look at all the hair I backed out to be a girl again. Mobius and Horus 6 are unlocked pretty early so try to aim for one if you got problems with the mill decks. RE: YGO 2009 on DS - Aaronock - 06-18-2009 And thank god for Horus and Mobius being so quick to access, it definitely makes the mid game decks a bigger breeze. If your're lucky you could pick up a Breaker for your deck early on too. :O RE: YGO 2009 on DS - Avalon_Fates - 06-18-2009 TT_TT *wishes Fates was playing right now too* *continues trying to buy online* |
