Anyone care to explain the differences between Heroes of Newreth and League of Legends?

Oh, and lol @ Aion. Yay for non-existent endgame content.

Both are very similar like the skills have the same "effect" with different "names" and only the characters and custom content are different from each other.

***NOTE***:Both were made to copy the format of DOTA.

Expanding on the above, slightly: the sight and terrain mechanics work differently in each. There's a night/day cycle in HoN that affects visual range as well (not sure about LoL).

LoL in turn, has a persistence mechanic in that your summoner (your account) levels by participating in matches and then spends those points to unlock characters. The points to unlock characters can also be purchased. IN HoN, nothing persists save your stats and all characters are unlocked from the get-go.

And on a purely personal note, I prefer the art direction of HoN to LoL. But since they're both free to try atm, I'd really recommend downloading both and seeing which one works for you.

Isn't in HoN in beta at the moment? If so, I think it's probably the reason why the characters are unlocked from the start.

If not, then just disregard my statement. Icon_razz

I heard good things about RF online and Cabal Online.
There is also Rohan Online and Granado Espada, which is pretty interesting.

-RF is quite the grindfest.
-Cabal is a great game, but the economy went to crap and it's been there even after it switched hands from OGPlanet to ESTsoft, as well as being infested with tons of bots even with their annoying anti-bot system in place.
-Rohan is an uber-grind PK-fest enjoyable only by the masochistic.
-Granado Espada, I heard, was very decent. I've never played it myself, but I think I heard that there was technically a legit bot grinding system for it.

Just my response, don't take my word for it. Icon_razz

Okay i like downloaded most of the suggestions from the forum
but they all seemed like a major grindfest to me

and whenever i stepped into a town it took at least 3 seconds for my character to take a single step

ps.

Heroes of new earth seemed enjoyable at first but i put it down 3 hours later d;

anyway has anyone here tried Florensia? how about atlantica online?
heck i'm even interested in Ether saga xD
