"I do love you, yes that's true,
but you'll never be happy with me."

But the girl didn't waver and waited,
For the love inside her created,
a strong need for his love, still unstated.
Oh how, this feeling, she hated.

So she waited for years and years went by,
until the moment came to say goodbye.
And she couldn't do anything, not even cry,
For that woman inside her had already died.

The man could never say it, not even once.
Of how much he loved her, or gave her the chance.
To start what she longed for, true romance.
It ended, before it even began.
