Light vs Dark pieces - Story Teller - 02-12-2015

Wouldn't it be sweet if we have a bunch of people acting as pawns for both sides but restricted by classes as well? It's generally a game of intelligence where level does not count. Although, the GMs just need to create a custom chess map with outside spectator seats. Here are the instructions

1) set the pieces (BUT: only certain classes can be those said pieces and is played like normal chess even if pieces are missing)

first class/novice - Pawns

2nd/trans of swordsman - rook/knight
2nd/trans of magician - bishop
2nd/trans of merchant - rook
2nd/trans of archer - knight
2nd/trans of aco - bishop

trans class - Queen
GM - King

2) Roll a dice to see who goes first (/dice).

3) The decision of a move by the light/dark is decided by consensus (each shouts the chess pieces current location and where it should go (ie. "Queen A2 to B3", "<name of char> C6 to C4")

Goal: Checkmate

Note: Another alternative too is that those set pieces would fight each other like normal RO style pvp (but note that GMs are King pieces so it might not work well enough). You guys can put more detail to this idea if you want since I did make this on the spot just now. @_@

Downvote for lack of thief classes. >(

In all seriousness, though, this has the potential to be cool but I highly doubt you're going to find 32 people to play at once. :/ Never mind 16 of each allegiance and with that variation of classes. But believe me; I'd love to be proven wrong on that.

This was mentioned to me with Lily the other day..... Were you the person who mentioned it while we were on an adventure or something?

Nope.

I've given a similar idea some thoughts a long time ago, we even have a map already added, but the rest was never done, maybe someday.
