Totally gonna leave the group later after showcasing the game. I don't like the work ethic of one of the programmers who kept pestering me. It feels like you are betrayed when a person never use the things you make that they pester you all the time "We need this and ASAP". First of, I was pestered to make the sound effects, particles and characters by that specific person. After that, he goes hiatus in whenever and just comes back to finish only a 'bit' of the code. Totally unproductive plus he thinks being an artist is just a simple 1-2 and done thing. Man... I'm tired. I gave up polishing the game menu since there are still tons to do that are more important.
Here is the game menu I gruesomely toiled to make while deprived from sleep. If I polish more of the game, it could have been a game that we could have sold but meh, I will make my work be known and work with the other game devs I know who does the work better.
The lesson to be learn here is: "If you want me to do something, then do your part! (outrage cry)"
We call the game *check picture for title*, Latin for 'Weapon Life' since the weapons come to life. The group took my idea of the 7 Wards and I modified it a bit for the premise of a 2D beat em up. The look of the characters also came from the story but their outfits and personalities are different.
