Life as an orphan waiting to be adopted at the Prontera Cathedral wasn't all that bad, the priests were intent in giving a good education to all the kids, and the nuns, vowed to chastity, had plenty of maternal instinct toward the little toddlers and children of the orphanage.

Bernard Benedictus (his name was given by a ascetic priest some acolytes have said to have meet in their travels), was anxiously waiting the moment a newlywed young couple would adopt him... but that moment never came...
He was a quiet kid, with no friends among the other children, who constantly picked on him because of his pale hair and complexion... similar to those of the so called Dark Priest family of monsters in Rune-Midgard.

He grew to adulthood, and entering the Holy Orders seemed the only choice available to him. He was kind hearted yet deeply resented the abuse the other kid did to him, and the lack of a true fatherly figure. So when he finally set out to train, his heart was filled with anger and sorrow...

These feeling brewed and grew in him... but it isn't until he finished is Acolyte-hood and underwent the Priest trials that something snapped in his head... Why uphold the law of an uncaring God when these so called demons and monsters he met in the dark recesses of his own souls were offering him so much more... Even Baphomet seemed intent in guiding him through the Darkness as the father he never had.

He somehow completed the Trial... but ended up a Priest of Darkness... swearing allegiance to the forces of evil and forsaking the sobriquet Benedictus for the more fitting Malpheas. Only his gentle nature balanced his urges to destroy and maim those he felt were weak and undeserving of his help.

He met a kindred soul, another creature of Darkness, a female hunter... the pair grew close and are currently pondering the idea of marriage.

Constructed as a blacksmith in accordance with the wishes of the guild, and in the unassuming form of a small child, Ryx served the Yakuza in various missions over a series of several months.
In the fifth month after her activation, the Yakuza was taken over by a hostile guild named Sarang, which took into employ only the highest skilled members of the Yakuza, putting the rest of the former members out as refugees, and leaving Ryx abandoned as just another outdated machine.
After lying deactivated in the waste midden outside the former Yakuza castle Nyirenverk, Ryx was discovered by a demon child named Chishio, and her master, Turacesayr, who brought her back to their sanctuary of the Net Slum.
Living in the Net Slum for a while, Ryx began to journey back into the world.??It was unfortunate coincidence that she had chosen to watch the falling snow of the Christmas-city Lutie on a day when the barriers had fallen, and monsters were gathering for invasion.??Watching the fighting from a rooftop, Ryx fell prey to the claws and fangs of the Guardian of Hell, Hatii, and his full hatred of artificial life.??Though she was rescued a second time by Turacesayr, it cost her most of her right arm and leg; which in her fits of severe depression she refuses to replace.

Still looking for friends and trying to fight off the shadows of her past, Ryx currently resides in Morroc with the Order of Chaos, lead by the Lord Neo, one of the greatest of few fans of her art, and the family he has gathered about him.

He claims to have a heart all though this is just a rouse to get others on his side long enough for him to either turn them into slaves of the Dark Lord or destroy them. He was created to be the best wielder of guns in the land and has never missed a shot. He soon lost his memories though due to a curse a Valkyire put on him to keep him from helping the dark lord anymore and now merely wanders around Midgard in search of a purpose.

Reis was born in Prontera church, surrounded by blessings of his parents and their friends. His parents were both high priests, priests ordained by the Valkyrie because of their skills and power was above any other priests in Rune Midgard. Reis was raised well, and lived a very happy life. He turned out to have inherited his parents skills and power, and was hand picked to be the next High priests to be ordained by the Valkyrie. til one day...

Terrible rumor about Reis's parents were being spread, saying they have corrupted the church by taking the towns peoples money and that they were using it not for the church's good, but for their own greed and desires. His parents were caught and executed by the king imediately. Thankfully, Reis was out of town to take care of his friend who was sick in the town of Payon. When the news of his parents execution reached his ears, he immediately left Payon for Prontera, only to find all of the church people massacred by the king. But Prontera was only a start... some evil forces are moving across Rune Midgard, burning and executing acolytes, and priests, trying to remove them from the face of this planet. Now Reis is on the run as one of the few priests that are alive in Rune Midgard....
