awesome series. till destiny...
I was fascinated because I first watched it when I was taking History 11 with an amazing teacher. We had to deal with WW1 and studied with soldiers diaries and international politics, etc. It amazed me Gundam Seed seemed extremely similar. (minus the flying robots)
ie> it was very realistic in terms of the attitude of a civilian -> soldier, and why/how war happens, etc.
Destiny was OK. Seed was great =p
Though two other animes that rivalled this spot were Code Geass S1 and Legend of the Galactic Heroes(great war series).
if only we had the giant robots...in sociology i got Mr. Silver to show Gundam 00 1-2 to demonstrate the way humans react to wars. (i kinda exagerated it but hey its Gundam) and yea Seed was just amazing. I get so annoyed at people when they go:
"omg you like seed!? wing was better!"
"...... *shank*"

Though there was A LOT of after school shows i loved to death...
Yu Gi Oh being one of them. Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball another *Dragon Ball GT sucked* and so many more.

2. 08th MS Team. You want a realistic fight? Watch the Evil Ace fight, it might be the best fight in any Gundam series. Yes, even better than that one.
3. Yugioh. Specifically the English version after you watch the Abridged series. Oh dear god, its hysterical.
Couldn't think of any others I'd put up here without reservations. But honorable mentions to Hunter x Hunter for a unique main hero weapon (fishing pole!)

They were both good, but a lot of people dont like seed as much because of seed destiny which kinda made the series less redeeming you know? Unless you liked destiny * i didnt *
