RE: ToH is getting too big
I kinda wish they wouldn't announce your scores to the wold either =/ but that's another matter entirely

My biggest thing is: What will happen when it's so huge it's a 12 hour event? 8 is already FAR TOO LONG imho, but what happens when it's even bigger? (Maybe that's why splitting us up for item is the end of the world XD)

Edit: @_@ Meh, I'm obviously tired and incapable of thought. Nerfing classes or requiring pvp isn't the answer though. Changes to the event overall need to be made.
I don't use @main. Do not ask for me there

Aslinn: 9x/6x High Wizard

Corporal Wrote:Hunters and Snipers were excel in PvM. I agree that ToH is getting too big, but nerfing a class just because you don't know how to beat them is unreasonable. Seeing as you're a champ, I don't see why you can't use Snap -> Push Palm.
Cuz snap has a skill delay and people would use that time to kill it because I did aggro it
Cutty Flam - Champion 88/54
Merciful Poseidon - Wizard 93/50
Casper - 72/41 Baby Monk

RE: ToH is getting too big
why dont we just do what the obv thing is

the weaker classes priests.novice/baby get extra free points

lets have penalty points for the classes that have it easy
-10 for sniper
-5 for hunter
-5 LK
-5 Sinx
-5 Whitesmith

thats a meager concession and unlikely to affect any of us but it would serve to placate the masses.

"so and so has it easy"
yea but they lose 5/10 points
SuperSaiyan George Bush: 99/33 Sinx
Majin Al Gore: 109/82 Paladin
Majin Al Capone: 81/70 Champion

RE: ToH is getting too big
The thing that im loling about, is as the server grows in population, more poeple are going to try and go to ToH.

So if they don't do something soon, they might see alot more than 3 whining threads pop up on a forum.

What do you guys think about slpitting up ToH monster trial interms of class?
Having the monsters set for you depending on your class, making it easier for you to attempt to kill them. But, with that they should have it based on your class and make it harder.

Have like 5 zombie masters, for an easy run
20 skel workers for a moderate
25 anubisis for hard? or something

Idk, im just puttin ideas out there.

@Rhombus - Just use PPS then. I saw a few champs doing that alone and it worked out fine. Better than the ones doing FO, at least.

@Space - Doesn't solve the problem. KSing is the issue.

@Yuriohs - Don't see why they would do that. You already get bonus points for being a disadvantaged class anyways.
IGNs:

Heii - 99/70 Sniper
Limits - 99/50 Knight
Asira - 9x/6x High Priest
Ruins - 99/70 Whitesmith
Meteor - 99/70 Champion
Toy. - 99/6x Assassin Cross

By splitting it over a month, you're allowing peopel to restock on pots/fish and the such, too.

Create a special Kafra in the ToH room, when the first part is done, put all your items in it, then the next day speak to the ToH girl in prontera and you can be warped only if you have nothing on you, except your gear Icon_biggrin

But then you can change gear. XD

Might get yourself that tasty Valk Shield you were looking for in that time, or something. =P

RE: ToH is getting too big
Of those presented here, I think Tripp's is the most fair in terms of player abuse. It would certainly reduce the time lost to horseplay, when you don't have to sit and be bored waiting for monster or pvp to finish.

The more interesting aspect of this idea is what impact it would have on mass battle. You'd end up with one battle full of pvm'ers, another without the scrubs hanging around, and one very small battle. This adds another dimension to your planning. A well-rounded pvp'er might choose to go monster/item and have a disproportionate impact on mass battle. One allegiance, or a guild with a predominant allegiance, might sign up for pvp/item and overrun the mass battle. And with the pvp/monster event, the experience level should allow for more complex strategies.

The downside of splitting up TOH is it requires GMs to make room on more days in their schedules. Maybe we could rotate who runs the show. Between Pandora, Mystra, and Ayu, it could work out conveniently.
Kroggles ensures the living stay living, and the dead stay dead.
Clobberella beats you up.
Teela Brown has a birdie!
Flosshilde communes with the very souls of the damned.
Walsung is actually pretty cool. For a guy made of metal.

@corporal

priests get 10 and HP's get 5

@Ellie

If you can tie with a good sinx on a High Priest then ill believe you.

Im quickly learning though how to tank one. But I can't pop GR's like there pills.

I think, when you take an extended/priest class to ToH and get a score like 80 or 90 then you can say just "change your gear."
But if you haven't played an extended/priest at ToH then you shouldn't speak on a matter you haven't experienced.

I saw a slinger named Dirge of Cerberus beat the odds, but I didn't know his final score. He didn't do that bad in monster, and He might have done well in item. And then I saw a GS that just whined when he lost. They were 7 lvls apart, but dirge still managed to get 10's on monster while the other GS just complained about lag.
