I never understood what hardcore mode was or why it was so fun, im a Diablo noob but i enjoyed it, You also wont see me around as often when D3 comes out. You'll see me in WoE thats about it

Hardcore mode plays like classic roguelikes did, you die once, you are dead forever, your stuff drops, and everyone can get it.

Its funny when the high level hardcore guy dies in a pvp match :D

Not fun when your friend's high level barbarian gets killed by Iron Maiden curse when he is helping you to kill Diablo using Whirlwind! O.O

(Iron Maiden = % of your psychical damage done is turned back to you)

I hate a fully geared out zealot in hardcore, It was using stuff like Fortitude AP, Pheonix monarch, EBOTD zerker, ect. i was on the chaos run just to tank shit, When i accidently clicked on a monster, my zeal was doing 22-26k a hit, with 30k hit rating. Needless to say with a 300% iron maiden on, even with the lvl 50 BO i had from the Bo bard there, i ohko'd myself. i was pretty pissed.

I loved to do Iron Man runs in good'ol Dia2...
It works like this:
You create a group of new chars in hardcore mode, that only run around together...
You do NOT go back to town, except if you need it for a quest.
You do NOT speak to NPCs except for quests (no repairing, no shopping, no healing...)
You do NOT open town portals.
You do NOT actiate the teleport stones.
You use only gear you found
You clear ALL maps of ALL monsters....

Aim of the game: getting further than Duriel... he's incredibly hard with those limits... but it really adds a new aspect to the game... even if you find a cool item... beware! you can't repair it!

u lvl to lvl 9 and pvp ._. who ever takes the loot
