No offense to the GMs, but they aren't always right. Not saying they are wrong on this subject; Im just trying to make sure they see both sides. Alde had its flaws, and it took a thread (a lengthy one at that) to fix it. I guess we'll see if the fix pays off on December 6th. Also, its nice to see what everyone thinks...I hope more people will post what they think about this subject.
Or, if they won't join for free, hire a 99 character. Ask if they need something farmed like comp bows, chains etc. and do that while they hunt high end monsters for lots of exp. They get equipment, you get massive amounts of exp.

I still believe that leveling a guild means that you do it by yourself/the people who want to. Paying someone to do it for you shouldn't be considered, although the idea of trading off one service for another isn't necessarily bad.
I understand your reasoning, however if you're making a non-trans woe guild, many, if not all, of your characters will need all the exp they can get. By hiring a transed 99 character, that 99 can... do what 99's do while the aspiring members work without exp impediments. However, this was all hypothetical, so do whatever you wish.
Almost forgot about this thread. You do bring up a good point Krumb, hiring a 99 is a possible option for up and coming guilds. But how many 99s are out there willing to level someone's else guild that could very well become a threat to them in the near future? I know I wouldn't .
Well, it's called being smart, call me cruel, cold or business like, but I have plenty of friends with a 99/70 character -nudges Dirge and Aeo- and they do us a great favor to get max tax, especially when they go hunt stuff (like Dirge has been doing for the past 2 weeks... xD). Although many members have tax, they're the ones who contribute the most.
Easy, just be smart and make good friends. :3
Don't worry Dirge, we'll help you get that item.... it's frustrating enough watching you do it on your own. xD

Soo...your saying to manipulate people so that later on down the road you can use them to help you? And by making good friends you mean people who have 99/70 characters, those fit your standards of being a good friend?
