@Naruhodo:
Mass Effect is good. Just be sure to take a break whenever you enter the Citadel C-Sec Elevator, because it takes THAT long to go up or down.
For me, it would be...
1. Battlezone (1998 Activision remake) - This is free, just look it up.
2. Homeworld 2 - Yum yum, fleet battles.
3. Elder Scrolls: Morrowind - I found this game to be a lot better than Oblivion in terms of world and atmosphere, and overall story and also in world size.
4. Thief: Deadly Shadows - On top of being an excellent stealth game, it also features one of the most scariest levels in gaming history (
The Shalebridge Cradle). The clinch: it wasn't made to be a horror game. I also like its genre: Electro-steam-punk fantasy. (Turn up the sound in the Youtube video for the best quality, so you can hear the faint screaming throughout the video and the door knocking at the end)
5. Deus Ex - I won't spoil this game full of conspiracy-theory-win.
Runner-ups:
-Lost Planet: Extreme Condition (pretty snow!)
-The Total War series
-Mass Effect
-Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
-Dead Space
-S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl
Randomly materializing within heRO since 2008.
