RE: Participation points for Mass PVP
I agree. Nothing is going to change here unless something gets done, dark is only going to get weaker and weaker as more people switch to light for the advantage.

After last ToH I almost donated to switch, because I would have gotten ToH gear if dark side had won. Cry I guess I need to find better gear for ToH.

Altough I guess it would be interesting if almost everyone ended up switching, and every mass battle was 50 people vs. 5 people or something. Icon_twisted

A switch usually happens every year or so.
I remember when dak dominated light every mass battle, too. Then people switched to start evening it out and other such things, and.. well, you're experiencing the result.
Gone! Thanks for the memories.

Indeed, there was an exodus from Dark to Light due to the invisibility of the 5th Gen light wings. When several of the stronger people on the server switch sides, along with members leaving HeRO altogether at the same time, Dark petered out.

I thought people switched because they wanted the other wings? And yes, I remember when dark dominated, I was around back then.

+1 What Joe said really...

when is started out we had the same problem with light losing all the time... not easy for a measly monk just starting out to get 70 points... even an agi knight got points easier... gah...

and only lately have ayu been giving out crazy-high-def monsters with medium/low HP which is investigate/occult impaction fodder as opposed to the regular med def high HP mobs which is DS fodder...

and then Pandaring came out. 70 def 70 mdef. real nice. 'cept it's ghost... darn you monks and your neutral-fixed attacks... and then attencon-truesight-DS still pawns it so easily... Cry

Also I kind of like the idea of giving 5 points participation for mass battle and 5 if you win. Then I think how easily it is abused and decide against it because you'd have people coming in and not doing anything to win just to get 5 points lol.

I think it's fine the way it is. The wings aren't supposed to be easy to get, and if you picked the losing side for what you think are nicer wings, then you would work for them. At least, that's the way I see it. (As was previously mentioned, the balance flips every little bit so it's not like light will win forever)
IGNs:

Heii - 99/70 Sniper
Limits - 99/50 Knight
Asira - 9x/6x High Priest
Ruins - 99/70 Whitesmith
Meteor - 99/70 Champion
Toy. - 99/6x Assassin Cross

The moment invisible last gen evil wings are created, those with true evil in their hearts will gravitate where they belong, and lay waste to the filthy ones of light. Most of the light allegiance now, is just denizens of the dark using their power to gain even more. So, yeah. Icon_twisted
