WoE Category

It's impossible to make forums never have flaming. Of course it would be bound to happen in such a category, since it's related to a competition and some people tend to do it.

I'm not sure if we have forum-only moderators, or if the in-game moderators can do it in forums, but it would be up to those with privileges to decide which limits to impose to such thing. Flaming there would be way less harmful than flaming in the Whining category or even in the Recruitment category as I've seen happen before, and the non-WoE side of the community wouldn't be affected. It could even be allowed to happen at a certain point to heat up the competition.

Yea I'd mentioned in the past having a type of section for that purpose. As usual it was quickly shot down by the carebears calling a strike and carrying signs that said shit like "Less *pew pew* moar QQ".

Having a section for WoE discussion on the whole is a great idea. Problem is the rest of the forum would be practically dead if there was one.

Not always true. Some of us go back to officials for real WoE.

its not? the only forums that are remotely active are suggestions and whinings.

There are guild subforums. There is a guild recruitment section. There is even Suggestions & Whining.

Only section we're lacking WoE related is the "Shit Talking" section.

Seriously though, a woe section would be good. And who cares if there is flaming? Make one of the subsections in the woe thread called fight club and lets flaming happen there. Would be funny at least.

I say just start making topics about WoE in the general section.
Maybe if it shows some popularity there GM's might be more willing to give us a section of its own here on forums. ;O

Mixing WoE topics with general guild topics can be quite annoying. PvM guilds would have their recruitment topics mixed up with WoE topics and those are quite unrelated things. Even recruitment topics of WoE guilds are unrelated to regular WoE topics.

But yeah, I understand your point. I just thought it would be interesting to suggest a separate category before doing something like that.

IMO I don't think there is enough interest in a WoE specific forum, but prove GM's and others wrong here first.
