They've got a lot of bills to pay. Although the failed RO2 never reached release, it still cost a lot of money.
I think it'll be safe to say there will be a few massively powered items in there, or atleast items that make your current ones super powered.

Gravity is currently working on tweaking the visual design of RO2.
The Producer mentions about how some users complained about character design , server optimization, and contents.
Closed Beta Test 2 will be around 2010 December ~ 2011 January.
RO2 characters will have gender selection as well. Most likely around in Open Beta Test.
They are still discussing developing a customizable STAT system similar to RO1. (Yay!)
As soon as CBT was finished, the character design team started doing a lot of work, and they are still discussing the final character design its self.
They are also currently developing 'inter-zone-chat system' where a chatroom can be reached from any part of the server.

You know, if they do a stat system where you decide the stats, it should only be a small portion of it, like most stats are allocated for you, but you get to put maybe 1/4th to 1/3rd of the influence on it. It'll be much easier to balance classes this way, and hopefully not constantly have to nerf "unintended" builds, which I could name many of.

And...glad to hear they have gender selection on the list. Hope they fix the lighting issues everyone in the first beta complained about.

decide on a type of build you want before hand such as "tank" or "damage dealer" for knights and your stats increase based on it? Like that?

I played once but never saw wat rankin posted by the way wat u posted looks cool. RO 2 was a bit dull and for a 3D mmorpg it didnt quite live up to expectation.

lol i legitly played the old RO2 and after a while the monsters are all to weak and yea it is quite boring

and i actually want to try out RO2:LOTS, it looks cool and nice 8D
