The Item of the Day quest is a repeatable EXP quest specific to heRO. Speak to any Healer NPC (there is one in every town), and choose the option "Help with what?". Note that this option will only be available if you have not already hit the limit on the quest for the day, and if the War of Emperium is not active.

She will tell you that she is in need of certain supplies, which changes on a day-to-day basis (see the list below). You may turn in up to 3 sets of items to the Healer per day. For each set you turn in, she will give you a choice between receiving: 

1. Base EXP
2. Base+Job EXP
3. Job EXP

So be careful about spamming the enter key!


You will be asked for different items depending on which day of the month it is. So for example, on the 9th day of each month, you will be asked for 20 Frills. The items for each day are as followed:

02 Cyfar 7053 25 50 75 Wild Rose at Neko Island is easiest. Injustice, Spring Rabbit, and Shinobi deserves mentioning since they also drop items used on other days.
03 Spoiled Snacks 8123 10 20 30 Haunted Cookie, Snow Lude, Haunted Teddy Bear in Haunted Toy Factory drop this item.
04 Powder of Butterfly 924 25 50 75 Creamies found at Britoniah, southwest of Geffen and Prontera Field 4, two west of Prontera are the best spots for this. Britoniah can be warped to using any Geffen castle warp. Creamy Fears in (fae_fild10) has slaves that drop this also.
05 Red Herb 507 50 100 150 Lot of monsters drop it and are easily collected as you play the game. Frilldora drops these and Frill used on another day. Handmaid Lif, Drainliar, and Eggyra drop these and also Hatter items.
06 Single Horned Helmet 6324 15 30 45 One-Horned Scaraba in Scaraba Hole is the only source. Quick access to Manuk can be gained by asking for a player warp portal.
07 Horseshoe 944 15 30 45 Hunting Nightmares in Geffen Dungeon 02 and 03 is the easiest way. The more difficult Cornus and Blightmare drop these as well.
08 Lantern 1041 20 40 60 Skeleton Worker in Mjolnir Pits F2 and F3 is the best spot. Pitman in Einbech Mine also drop these to double up with hunting Noxious and Venomous for Dust Pollutant used another day.
09 Frill 1012 20 40 60 Frilldoras at (cmd_fild05) 4 maps east of Comodo drop this. Ember Lizard in Muspelheim can double up for a Hatter item or Driller for more of a challenge.
10 Solid Peach 7164 15 30 45 Enchanted Peach Tree on first floor of Gonryun Dungeon is the only source, but it's easy to go back to healer to fuel up and resume the hunt.
11 Rotten Meat 7564 20 40 60 Roween is most abundant on (ra_fild04). The fastest access to this map is to go to Ice Caverns, then exit one map south.
12 Nine Tails 1022 15 30 45 Pale Vulpine at the Ice Castle (lutia05) east of the Lutia Mine warp in Lutia is the best spot. Eddga's map in Payon Forest (pay_fild11) 2 south and 1 west from Payon has Nine Tails, but can be mobby.
13 Dust Pollutant 7320 10 20 30 Einbech Dungeon 1 has Venomous and Noxious that drop this item.
14 Slingshot 7195 15 30 45 Dropped by Wootan Shooter that can be found most frequently in Umbala Dungeon, levels 1 and 2.
15 Anolian Skin 7003 15 30 45 Anolians can be found at Zenhai Marsh (cmd_fild03, 3 maps east of Comodo). For an easier but less mobby source, Alligator also has this item at lower drop rate.
16 Antelope Horn 7106 15 30 45 These can be purchased from the Tool Dealer in Niflheim. Otherwise, Goats found 2 south of Yuno are the most best way to hunt these and also drop Red and Yellow Herbs used on other days. Heidrun east of Lutie also drops this and a Hatter item.
17 Folding Fan of Cat Ghost 7266 15 30 45 Mao Guai found in Louyang Dungeon 3 are the sole source of this item.
18 Yellow Herb 508 40 80 120 Lots of monsters drop it and are easily collected as you play the game. Garden Keeper and Goat also have Red Herb used on another day, while Sandgrass north of Fortuna is the easiest source next to a town.
19 Striped Sock 7219 10 20 30 Drops from Loli Ruri. Only map that naturally spawns it is the field located west of Nifflheim.
20 Peco Peco Feather 7101 15 30 45 Farming Grand Pecos at the Kiel Khayr's Academy map (yuno_fild08) is the most efficient way of obtaining this item.
21 Silver Feather 8121 15 30 45 Chill Wind is the most reliant source though Silver Filir, Silver Filir Chick, and Silver Harpy have them as well. Chill Wind is located 1 south then 1 east from Crystal Shore.
22 Broken Shuriken 7156 10 20 30 Shinobis found at the 3rd map of the Amatsu Dungeon drop these. Do note that they have a split respawn range of 10-15 and 90-151 minutes instead of an instant respawn.
23 Scale Shell 936 15 30 45 Drops from Isis found on the F4 of the Morroc Pyramid and the more difficult Naga found west of Midcamp. Both of these also drop Shining Scale used on another day.
24 Plant Tentacle 6259 20 40 60 Lutian Snowflower found east of Lutie is the most consistent source. Alnoldi in Dewata field also drop these at a lesser rate.
25 Shining Scale 954 20 40 60 South of Veins is an abundant spawn of Side Winders for this item. Isis at a lesser rate and Naga also drop them in addition to Scale Shell used on another day.
26 Needle of Alarm 1095 15 30 45 The Clock Tower F2 and F3 maps in Aldebaran have Clocks and Alarms that drop this item.
27 Tail of Steel Scorpion 7010 15 30 45 One south of Marasmius in Faeheim Archipelago has Iron Fist as the sole source of this item. Iron Fist is also a daily Faeheim Bounty Hunts that rewards Faeheim reputation points.
28 Ogre Tooth 7002 15 30 45 High Orc drops this item. High Orc can be found in High Orc Village found by traveling west from outside of the Orc Dungeon warp.
29+ Jellopy 909 50 100 150 Drops from most Poring family monsters. Players can also camp Ant Eggs at the entrance of Ant Hell. For those who prefer not to hunt, Meat can be bought in from any butcher and traded to the Meat Boy (/navi umbala 59, 243) for 2 Jellopy each.
