Within Umbala Dungeon, the boss Wootan Defender can spawn when certain conditions are met.
Spawn Conditions
Each time a Wootan Fighter, Wootan Shooter, Dryad, or Driller is defeated within Umbala Dungeon, a counter goes up. Upon defeating 100 of any of these mobs, Wootan Defender will spawn in either um_dun01 or um_dun02. The chance to spawn in any of the two maps is 50%. As long as the boss is alive, it cannot be respawned. Once the boss is defeated, it cannot be spawned again until 2 hours have passed, with a 10 minute spawn variance. Once the spawn cooldown period has passed, kills will begin counting towards boss spawn again.
Note:
- When the boss is spawned or defeated, a message will be broadcast throughout Umbala Dungeon. This includes um_dun01, um_dun02, and yggrdrasil01.
- The Herb Picker NPC just outside Umbala Dungeon will provide information on the boss. It'll indicate if the boss can be spawned, if it's already spawned and where, or if it was defeated and when. The time of boss defeat is in 24 hour format.
- Boss broadcasts and boss status dialogue do not specify the map names where the mob is. Use context clues to decipher the information. For example, mentions of an area leading to niflheim would refer to um_dun02.
