General Roleplay Information
"Chronicle of the Heroes" is the main roleplay story line that the heRO server follows for its roleplay related events in the server. The Chronicle's story is written by various GMs and even has some player contributions, especially the noble players. Often, GMs have a rough guideline of knowing where to start and what direction to stir the roleplays towards in terms of results, but details are often left open as GMs improvise according to server players' reactions and decisions. Thus, "Chronicle of the Heroes" is a combined product of both GM team's planning and the players' efforts together.
Players interested in participating in roleplaying only needs to attend these events, and automatically they are welcomed to join in the conversations, discussions or contribute to decision making. The noble players may even take part as a key member of the "Chronicle of the Heroes" plot line, working with the GM team and designing some of the upcoming roleplay related events. It is encouraged that players interested in heRO roleplaying can read over some of the server's background information, along with checking the current chapter of the Chronicle often in case if they missed some important plot development in order to have more materials to work with for the roleplay.
From the story's point of view, the "Chronicle of the Heroes" is a detailed record of all events from the beginning of history, written by the historian Auron. The record starts from the rise of the gods and goddesses for both the Light and Dark Allegiance, up to the present day and all that had happened to the Heroes of the world.
Dark Allegiance
The Dark Allegiance follows the God Erebos, led by Archmage Mystra and Sir Melot.
The Dark Allegiance strives for breaking laws and orders, believing that strength and personal power determine the true natural order of survival of the fittest. Erebos first disobeyed the rules of Odin who led the start of civilization to human beings as he considered it an outrageous action to depart the knowledge of gods to the lesser beings of humans. Likewise the Dark Allegiance today sought to destroy the current rules and orders to "help those in need," since the world is naturally self governed by strength instead of arbitrary laws.
Though the Dark Allegiance is against the current system of order, they remain an organized and effective group. Internal hierarchy of leadership is determined through abilities and capabilities. In an Allegiance where power is judgment, the Dark Allegiance will not hesitate to use any means to carry out the necessary goals, which is highly frowned upon by the Light Allegiance.
The Dark Allegiance sought to destroy the Light Allegiance who constantly stands in their path with beliefs in total opposition.
