Not in that way Icon_razz

I was meaning how you tend to tell main to just take it to whiners, or whatever. You've done that a lot ._.

I'd say no to removing it. Sure there's some problems that arise because of some people's rants. BUT. Some things we think are trivial that we whine about??actually do get fixed, it's worked for me a few times. And??add a place to vent with a place with humorous trolls and I'd say it's the most entertaining part of the hero forum. Drama is something that is meant to be looked at with an outsiders perspective and laughed at.

It's not that??the whining itself is bad, It's just sometimes during our whines we lose tract of our tact and manners. Think back to the Disney Movie, "Bambie" and that rabbit when posting a response. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"

If anything, they're whining about it for a reason. Could be they just dont like something. Could mean they're completely frustrated with something, and??one more little thing would set them off like a time bomb. Whining is a place to vent that, wether or not we take it seriously or not.

Personally though, if it's a complaint with a particular person, I'd take it up with them before I'd post on it.

Respect is something that needs to be earned. If something gets out of hand, GMs deal with it.

Free will is something that should be earned swell.
Free will is a human right.

On another topic- WHO exactly decides what is and what not??our rights? On that note, I could say it's a Kodiac Bear's right to sneak into town lookin for food and tear the nearest pedestrian to shreds as a right of the bear. Yet, if that actually happened, We, the arrogant humans would send a party out there with their boomsticks, track it down, and shoot the bear for being what it is. A predator. One predator that just got unlucky enough to kill an awfully annoying Pack Animal with a sense of revenge.

although i must say that i don't particularly enjoy the whining section, i say it's a good feature to keep up. It's like a garbage can, it's not exactly glorious, it's not exactly beautiful, but it's useful.

I believe Whispers, Neo and Joe have also conveyed very good points as to why it shouldn't be closed.

and the thing about human rights? well sure it's arbitrary and might seem made-up by the UN. But to me (although i'm not a Christian) i believe Jesus had it right when he said: "Do unto others what you would have done unto you"... not sure if anyone else propagated that phrase in such a concise manner before he did, so i would attribute it to him... Confucius might have some lines about proper conduct before the year of the lord, but i don't think it specifically points to such retribution... either that or i haven't read it... Laugh

It applies to everything. ^_^

It applies to everything but one thing:

RE: Should the whining section be removed? - Whispers - 03-22-2010

I'm pretty sure I don't want people to drop an atom bomb on me.??o_o
Okay, I'm gonna nuke you, so gotta nuke me, okay? Okay! =D

Although, I don't follow the Golden Rule.??Whereas it may work for others I feel it is selfish.??One shouldn't treat others in regard to how they may treat them in return.??One should just be a kind person because kindness makes happiness for everyone.??Ok

So... in that case, do unto others before they do unto you?

No.

It's more like "In some cases, you just can't win because the other side is too awesome."

Being Baptized doesn't automagically "make you" something. And now to get off the theological debate.

I prefer to go with "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness".

Makes me want to read some Adam Smith.

The whining section shouldn't be closed because it helps some relieve stress and even if it was closed, issues & drama would just crop up somewhere else.

On a side note, The author of this thread wanting whining section closed made me chuckle.
