Friends are important, but I never put much of a restriction on the whole "RL/online" thing. A friend is a friend. Simply as that. That just makes one 'type' sound more important than the other. Which isn't fair.
For instance, if someone asked me to go out in my town, I'd turn it down. Duane being 7 hours away might mean I can't actually see him whenever I want, but he's still more important than any other guy. Physical isn't everything. It's the emotional connection that matters.
