no monkey, i knew about slotter, but i thought the actual books might have been set as drops from monsters or something. as of yet i don't need the books though it probably wouldn't hurt to start collecting them.

Only custom monsters drop them in their already slotted form, such as Skoll dropping Book of Blazing Sun[3].

And starters can actually farm Skolls...?

YOu can add the best places to level, like:

Level 1-10 Training Grounds
Level 11-30 Culverts 2 (Kill everything)
Level 31-50 Wolves (job chage at Jlvl 40)
Level 51-7x Metalling
ect.. ect..

What gear is needed, what mob drops it, and at what level is good to go and hunt for them.

Well, the training ground thing SHOULD be common sense.

I don't really feel like the Culverts 2 thing is better than spores (which there are more of) and willows.

But yea, thyat's always an option.

Why'd you change below Jlvl 50 on anything unless you're becoming a SL?

TKM's aren't as bad as i thought they'd be, but mine is going pretty decently, just trying to get some gear so i can have an easier time leveling.

Who actually uses elemental books besides Star Gladiator...? The others who killed Skoll and got the book have to do 'something' with it, like vending it away...?

Also can get the ele books other than wind really cheap to try slotting...
So yes, a newbie SG could potentially get them :D

Exactly, I leveled my SG without a book until lv90, Running atk boost was actually better than using the book I have, unless it's got +damage on race/element cards.
Leveling SG is too easy, you don't even need gear for anything, just a good shield and standard armors for def or +Str equips if you can... And choosing a good place is nice too. I'm not telling where I leveled though. /gg
