Wira is 100% right on how the combos work.

Leaving the mystcase hat aside I think the idea is pure AWESOME!

For hats that only give def and aren't that useful right now: drops, poporing, marin, lunatic, sapling, aquaring, marina, succubus doll, Incubus Doll, Hylozoist Doll, Wicked Lily, Drooping Leaf Cat and Drooping Wild Rose.

Maybe just fixing hats that do nothing but are kind of harder to obtain could gain bonuses/fixes.

Or they gain a small bonus when enchanted, that could be fun fun fun too :D

Maybe some of the hats could gain interesting effects instead of or in addition to a slot. It's more interesting than just having a bunch of 5def customs with slots that all look different.

well i was thinking poring hat could be (when slotted) +1% neutral def, and marin is for water, and so on for the poring family hats...

then the assorted hats could give small stat, status, or secondary attribute bonuses such as:
marina = 2% chance to freeze
wicked lily = 2% chance to SC (thought 1% was a better number, but since AFAIK ppl rarely hunt wicked nymphs, perhaps this could be a good incentive)
leaf cat = 2% chance to cast heaven's drive
wild rose = +1% Attack speed
hylozoist doll = 2% chance to curse

incubus and succubus is hard to get, but i kind of disagree with fates's notion as they should be in a pair like how their horns are...
so perhaps incubus would give 5% chance to cast lv 5 soul strike while succubus would give 5% chance to cast lv 5 napalm beat

Heh Soul Strike is already very weak, and Napalm Beat even worse, I rather it be something else for the Succubus hat, maybe like...heh Wink of Charm effect when attacking?

i really thought of wink charm first aaron, however i can't find a proper "twin" to that skill...
and wink charm has very VERY limited use IIRC...
to be honest, i don't even know if confusion to a monster when you're auto attacking will do any good, let alone in pvp...
i know soul strike and napalm is weak, but i'd rather have measly damage than "confusion"...

it's not that hard to get a succu/incu doll imho, so even if they're slot chance is 10% with a 1m z slotting cost it would still be too imbalanced to make it similar to an alice doll...

Wink of Charm is its own status effect where the monsters it can be cast on make a heart emoticon and walk around like doofuses till you hit them with a skill or attack or the duration of the skill ends.

Its actually quite a useful skill despite some of its limitations, there is a reason I started playing around with an aliza orleans uniform in the first place. I think the use of it isn't for pvp anyway but I admit confusion actually is frustrating if you ever have it happen to you heh.
