Hopefully you can fix your computer by then. If not, I can probably take over, but that would be a shame, it was your event. If you'd rather postpone it's ok too.
The sound card on this PC has been fried for like 5 years. Even if I got vent and it was able to run, what good would that do? As for what's happening...every time I boot the PC, it never goes to Windows. Instead, it stops during the boot process, states "NTLDR is missing, press ctrl+alt+delete to restart". from there, I can either restart. Or stare at the pretty letters.
I did a google search on it, and I'm trying the various fixes across the web.
I think I fixed it. I copied the boot files to a floppy disk, and booted from the floppy. The windows registry seemed to get reset however, but I got into Windows where all my drivers had crashed, and needed to be re-installed. I found count 'em- 300,000 files sitting in the root directory of my C drive. After deleting those, I ran a dos-program also on the floppy to re-copy the "missing" files. Hopefully, all is well.
I still have some damage, certain lost cookies and saved preferances and such. But oh well.
It's operational right now, best I can say. I just finished randomizing the match-ups. The turned out pretty good, I think. The listing of round 1's pairings:
Zabaza
Backhand
Ms. Hina
Kaede
Squall
Dual
Huntress
Deye
Krimlin
Tremor
Wiz-Raizen
Sheepdude
If you look closely at the brackets, or mentally draw them since well, I don't feel like doing something in paint or something. The semi-finals ends up with 3 people. Bleh. So, to attempt to fix this, the person who enters the semi-finals with the best win / loss record, gets a bye. It makes things a little more complicated, but there's no fairer way to do it.
