Reboot Changelog, July 6 2018:
  • Fixed the issue with the previous maintenance where players saved/memorized maps were shifted in heRO's map index.

You may still encounter minor issues when logging in such as being stuck inside walls or unwalkable area. This is a side effect of the fix, and does not represent any danger for the player other than being unable to leave if you have no butterfly wings. Just contact a GM via support ticket right away and we'll send you to prontera as soon as we can.

  • Nightmarish Amon Ra no longer summons Nightmarish Ancient Mummies. This was a change made long ago in 2017, but got reverted by accident during my absence.

July 10 again

To alleviate annoyances while hunting in Morroc Pyramid 06 or Nightmare Pyramid 02 (Both Amon Ra Maps), all monsters without a respawn time (Amon Ra Slaves) will be killed on a timer every 20 minutes.

As we cannot target monsters selectively, such as by monster ID, other monsters on the maps that do not have a respawn time will be affected. These are alchemist plants, mushrooms, and GM spawned monsters.

  • Hylozoist card and azoth have been edited to only transform monsters when the wearer is not in a town map. Server rules still apply to all player morphing and summoning.

  • Black Wing Suit, Elven Bow and Black Wing Manteau will now stack with each other instead of only the highest trigger rate taking place
  • Vanilimirth card will now stack with itself additively in chances to cast Caprice (up to maximum of 8% when dual yielding)
  • Tendrilrion and Duneyrr will no longer attempt to cast Thunderstorm on multiple targets at the same time

For the changes to take effect, please remove and re-equip your affected black wing gears, elven bow and/or equipment with Vanilimirth card.

I'll also use this chance to inform everyone of an item mechanic that took the T&D team hours to figure out today. The game only takes into account the highest activation rate for autocast gears of the same skill level, but stacks if the skill levels of the skill casted are different. When the skills do not stack, they do not activate AT ALL. They DO NOT even roll separate chances ("stacking multiplicatively"). It does nothing at all.

This is the same as iRO behavior (and other private servers of the same emulator) where iRO changed to this setup to prevent elemental sword infinite chain with one of their purchaseable gear. This is NOT the same behavior as kRO where these cards/gears always stack, and heRO GMs are well aware of this difference between the two official servers.

Eg. Gazeti card (cold bolt lv 2) and Snow Lude card (cold bolt lv 5) both work because the levels are different.
Eg. Marin Crown (cold bolt lv 5) and Snow Lude card (cold bolt lv 5) do NOT stack because the levels are the same. In this case, only Snow Lude card activates since it has the higher activation chance. Marin Crown does absolutely nothing.
Eg. 2 Wind Ghost cards do the same thing as a single Wind Ghost card because they do NOT stack at all as both cards obviously tries to cast Jupitel Thunder at the same level. This extends to any autocasting cards with itself, such as Solace, Kasa, Stormy Knight, Bloody Knight, Umbra and so on.

Tendrilrion and Duneyrr are caught in the crossfire, and they will no longer attempt spam Thunderstorm on multiple targets at the same time.

Earlier today, I have incorrectly stated that blitz beat has cast/animation delay. This is also NOT true. Item-triggered blitz beat has no delay and may trigger nonstop on itself. It only stops you from also manually casting blitz beat while the auto-casted version is mid-flight. Sufficiently high rate of black wing combo activation should make it as if your falcon "disappeared" because of the weird animation interaction (but it will reappear once you stop attacking and the blitz beat casts end.)

Vanilimirth card and black wing combo+elven bow are given special treatment that it will stack with itself and rest of the combo respectively. Their item descriptions will be changed to mention of this special treatment in the future.
